A large detached house divided into two. Host lives in the other half. We are situated on the edge of the lake district in the village of Seascale with the beach at the end of our garden. Wasdale Valley (scafell) and Eskdale Valley are your daily vista. We are perfectly placed for trips to the lakes and other attractions, such as Ravenglass and Muncaster castle. We offer 5 large double bedrooms, all en-suite. The use of the sofa bed in the living room can take the number of guests up to 12. Guests have a private ground floor kitchen and dining room. The private living room is on the first floor. The quarters are spacious and recently renovated. A small garden area for the sole use of guests is available at the rear of the property which has stunning panoramic views across the fells and up and down the coast. Small tables and seating are provided. The garden leading to the beach is shared with my family, guests are only requested to refrain from the patio area in front of the family living quarters. There are picnic tables and seating provided in the large garden area. We have our own private steps to the beach from our garden, they are not as scary as they look in the picture.
The house is basically spilt in two so we are available in our half if needed.
We have ample amenities in the village to help your stay along. It is about 5 minutes walk to the nearest pub/ hotel. About half a mile away is the main beach carpark. Here you will find a village store, hairdressers, play park and jetty. This is also where you can access the train station. This is a coastal train which can take you north to the historic harbour of Whitehaven or south to Ravenglass and beyond. From Ravenglass you can access the valley of Eskdale without driving if you then take the Laa Ratty up the valley. Moving a little further up the village there is a chinese takeaway, a pizza shop, a bakery, a co-op, a chemist, a doctors, a bowling green and a hardware shop. We also have a 18 hole golf course. There is also a slip way on the beach near the carpark to launch boats. Dotted around the village are other pub/ hotels and restaurants, I will provide an info pack for you in relation to attractions and amenities. The train station is about half a mile away
