You will stay in an authentic XIX century Arcachon villa, full of charm and very close to the beach. It dates back to the 1870s, when Arcachon and the Ville d’Hiver became fashionable, and is characteristic of this period with its brick and blonde stone façade, its wooden balconies and its galleries on the Bay side. With its two gardens, one on the city side and the other facing the Bay, it is hidden in a beautiful green setting. The location is ideal, close to lively downtown market, shops and cafés, and less than 220 yards from the beach. We renovated the house with the double aim of bringing modernity and comfort while respecting the charm and authenticity of the building. We love cross-cultural atmospheres, where you find designer pieces as well as antiques or ethnical objects: at les Ombrées, some of them are part of our family history. At les Ombrées, nothing is set, everything is possible, and that is how we want your stay to be. You can choose among 3 spacious and comfortable rooms, open to the outside. They are all different, decorated with skill, with a blend of contemporary and antique furniture. Elegant and spacious, they offer the comfort of a luxury hotel: storage, bathroom, WC, free wi-fi. They open to the outside: balcony or garden. You definitely don’t need TV there…

We want you to experience a real break and will give you a warm welcome. As students in Bordeaux, and then during our professional lives in France and Italy, we always chose Arcachon for our holidays. Our children staying at their grandparents learned to love the area as much as we do. It was thus obvious for us to settle there and share with our family and friends all the beauties of the Bay. Then we started dreaming of opening a guest house: when we saw les Ombrées, we knew we had found the perfect place for this new project. It is our pleasure now to share with our guests the good addresses of our favorite places to help make their stay a success.

The house is ideally located within easy reach of the Joigny and Pereire beaches and Arcachon town centre, with its shops and entertainment. Situated in a peaceful setting, nestling in a large garden, Les Ombrées is the perfect base from which to enjoy the Bay of Arcachon, the region and its many attractions. Sports, nature, culture, relaxation, well-being and gastronomy are all accessible on foot or by bike, thanks to a vast network of cycle paths, whatever the season.
