The room, at least the one i've stayed in, was very clean, the beds were comfy and the bathroom was probably better than in most cheap hotels. My first hostel ever and i seriously can't complain about anything!

I was in one of the capsule dorms ( Japanese style) I like that as if you are unlucky enough to share with inconsiderate people you can close your pod door and to a certain extent lock out the smells and noise of a shared dorm. Very helpful staff, 24 hr reception, I dropped my bags early and headed off for the day, didn’t check in until 11.30pm. Location is ok it’s on Upper West Side, surrounding areas a mix of affluence and poverty! Sited opposite Central Park and a very short walk from subway, you can be midtown or downtown in 15-20 mins. Complimentary bagel & hot drinks provided for breakfast. A very nice touch and the best hostel I’ve stayed in outside of Japan. Highly recommended. ( They will also store your luggage when you check out but I opted out of this one as I didn’t want to go into city and travel back before my flight)
