They provided a useful map of the area so I knew where I could get dinner / nearby onsen / supermarkets / bank etc. one of many thoughtful touches.

The hostel was comfortable and well designed. The view toward the water was beautiful in the morning. Everything was organized and clean.

First things first: this is a welcoming place. I enjoyed my short time at Kotohira a lot and a huge reason for that was the friendly and relaxed atmosphere at the guesthouse. The host (heart and soul of this traditional house in central location) is a bubbly and passionate traveller himself that has seen so many places in Japan and around the world. He is really interested in your own experiences while you travel in the region and he can give you a lot of recommendations. Even though this guest house is in the north of Shikoku, he provided me with travel and commuting advices for Hokkaido. And: I loved the traditional house in central but quiet location. My roomy female dormitory (for 2 people) was lovely decorated. It felt a bit like in a treasure museum. The bath facilities are modern and the kitchen is well equipped (free coffee). So, if you wanna stay in a friendly place where you can recharge travel energy and get freshly inspired, pick this guest house.

Location was excellent, near the famous garden in Takamatsu and also not far from the JR Takamatsu station. Perfect living-room space, and very clean sleeping space

Hostel JAQ takamatsu ตั้งอยู่ในทากามัตสึ และอยู่ห่าง Liminal Air-core Takamatsu ไม่เกิน 2.7 กม. A new hostel, that is very cozy and social, with tons of common spaces to eat, work, talk, hang out. The on-site chef prepares breakfast every morning and you can pay extra for a very nice dinner. The staff are really cool, and I enjoyed hanging out every night practicing my terrible Japanese. The big dorm is very spacious.
