Mukhatar ( the owner) is perhaps the kindest & most generous person I have met, he instantly makes you feel like part of his family as soon as you step foot on the premise 💞 Not only this but he will go out of his way to ensure your needs are met he will help with everything like; assisting with tour bookings, scooter rentals, laundry & assisting with translations, booking rides to get around town even provides information for places in & around Java such as: recommendations for local hotspots for events, sunrises/sunsets, hikes, cheap food & stores, you name it this man will put in 110% effort to ensure your enjoying your time here. The facilities here are top notch too, from clean bathrooms, a large open living room with a huge TV with its own Netflix account & PS4 to an open easy to use kitchen with refrigerator, stove, microwave, plates, cups, cutlery, utensils, the works! 🍽️ If you're looking for somewhere to spend your time in Yogyakarta this hostel should be on your list, if you're lucky you might even run into the local polylinguist "Mr Saturday" a happy, sweet fella that will always put a smile on your face (if your timing is right you may even score a chance to taste his mouthwatering home cook-ups) or Mohammed the legend of the local nightlife who can fill you in on the the local bars & clubs around town also guaranteed to put a smile on your face both legends in their own right 👊 & often poke their heads into the hostel to say hello! Featuring a garden, Wonderloft Hostel Jogja offers rooms in Yogyakarta, 3 km from Sultan's Palace and 3.2 km from Museum Sonobudoyo. This place is prefect for solo traveller you will meet plenty of people. The staff is amazing and that is really nice.

Set in Yogyakarta, within 3.1 km of Sultan's Palace and 3.3 km of Museum Sonobudoyo, Happy Buddha Yogyakarta offers accommodation with a garden and a terrace, and free WiFi. The hostel was very comfortable and clean with great shared common spaces to work. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything you need. The manager RD is a great guy and is happy to help guests with anything they need. In general, Happy Buddha has a very welcoming atmosphere and I would highly recommend anyone to stay here when in Jogja. Great quality for a good price!

The house was in a quiet neighborhood with friendly people around. It was in a good location and the pool was perfect to cool down. The hosts made us a very sweet welcome basket with fresh fruit. We loved the house and will definitely book it again when we come to Yogya.

Each pod also comes with its own locker including a lock. Two usb-outlets for charging. Bathrooms were clean. Located only 5min walk from the train station and only 50m to the big street with food and shops. Would definitely recommend. Breakfast was also super good!
