Just come here straight away once you get to the island as the capital does not have a decent hostel to offer.

I must have been lucky, because I arrived to the most beautiful delicate song and guitar play by a young Spanish lady. I'll never forget that. But it did represent the atmosphere of the place, very friendly and laidback, with nice artwork on the walls. I had a nice short stay there, and even made some friends. Like I said, maybe I was lucky, but I think it says something about the place too.

A nice village with good restaurants, supermarket, close to lots of hiking and a trail which leads to the coast with natural swimming pool. Great place to use as a base to explore the north. I'll be back. Very helpful friendly staff
