Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Masaya Casas Viejas is set 30 minutes away from Minca in the Magdalena Region by 4x4 or motorcycle, and 12 mi from Santa Marta. Very nice location on top of the mountains. It takes a little courage to get to the property (by motor or jeep taxi) but the view is absolutely worth it. Once you get to the property there are plenty of organised (paid) activities in which you can participate which are very well arranged. Very friendly, English speaking, staff.

Really nice experience in Hostel Vista Verde! I only stayed 1 night but would’ve loved staying more nights there! I needed a room with 2 beds. The unit that was given to me included 2 queen size beds, with its pillows, sheets, and a covering against mosquitos (but it was not needed! The unit was clean and cozy, and the price was really good! The staff was amazing, Julia the owner was really nice, Steffany the cook, prepared a delicious dinner, and all the staff was nice, even Jualia’s son was quite adorable and has my name “Alvaro”. The hostel is around 45 min away from town, and you gotta climb a lot of hills, but it is worth the experience. In general I’d recommend this hotel!

Set in Minca, 18 km from Quinta de San Pedro Alejandrino, Finca Hostal Bolivar - Casa Quinta offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. - It's up a hill (7 minute hike) with no neighours so it's very quiet and peaceful - All the owners and staff are super friendly - Clean and comfortable room that's cleaned each day - Brilliant viewpoint to see the sunset - Nice outdoor dining/chill-out area with views of the mountains and Santa Marta - They can have food delivered to the place if you don't want to walk into town - Well equipped kitchen for cooking any type of meal There's not many people staying and no activities organized but for me and most people we really loved this because it was a perfect place to really relax, enjoy nature and just move at a very slow pace. I booked 2 nights but stayed 5 and was very sad to have to leave.

The Valley Tayrona hostel- A unique social jungle hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in El Zaino. The location was great, surroundings were beautiful, you could fall asleep and wake up to the sound of birds chirping. While reading a book I also spotted some monkeys. The staff was superfriendly, all spoke english aswell (a treat you don't see much in Columbia). Food was nice. It was super close to Tayrona entrance. Definately worth to stay longer than just for visiting Tayrona.

Located in El Zaino, La Finca Lorena Tayrona features a garden, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. so calm! very kind owners and lovely food. also very close to tayrona (20 min walk)

Located in Santa Marta, less than 1 km from Bahía de Santa Marta Beach, Imagine hostel features air-conditioned rooms and a bar. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. This hostel was the best thing in all Santa Marta! Room had an ac, a life saver in this hot climate! Room looked a bit bigger in the picture, but since it has an upper floor it felt really spacious and a lot of natural light coming in, also possible to open the window. Nice to have 2 choices for breakfast. Friendly staff. Good location near restaurants and bus stop (taganga, tayrona, minca). It's not one of the cheapest ones in the town but I think it's worth of the money.

At the breakfast we saw small monkeys and the rooms where so nice. the food was really good, but they were always serving it a bit later than what they told. In general a really nice hostel with a chill atmosphere.
