Location was insane, right beside the gondola and directly in the mountains. All travel included with Swiss travel pass! Breakfast was amazing and accommodated vegan/milk-alternative options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The quiet hours were followed. Really great hostel vibe and outdoorsy people to meet!

Great place! Amazing host. Very good price. Nice and comfortable room. Good location next to bus stop and very close to the waterfall. Very quiet place. You can hear only the sound of the waterfall :)

It was our first time in a hostel and we were a bit hesitant, but once they welcomed us to the warm and inviting atmosphere we were in love with the views and people and guests. We didn’t want to leave. The pizza was great, and the mulled wine was even better. So glad we did this trip. The stuff is nice and open. Bathrooms were always clean. Can’t recommend more! Keep in mind there are a couple of cats going around if you are allergic.

Imagine waking up with a view of the Alps from your room, what could be better than that? Add the friendly and homey vibe of the place, the best pizza we've ever had, and guests and staff who all make you feel like family. Our experience was truly magical. We definitely recommend the Mountain Hostel and would stay here again next time we visit Gimmelwald.
