The owner was very friendly. They also serve dinner, very convenient since there are not many restaurants nearby. We stayed here 1 night on our way back to Holland from La Plagne. Close to the motorway, but situated in the countryside among the grapevines.

Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. We had an amazing stay with Linda, Toby and Nelly. A beautiful location for the house, a very warm and friendly atmosphere. We especially enjoyed the very relaxed but entertaining evening meal, starting with canapés in the garden, followed by 3 beautiful courses with a real emphasis on local ingredients and suppliers, plus one of the best cheese boards ever! The breakfast was exactly what we needed, fresh coffee and croissants, selections of cereals and so on. Nothing was too much trouble. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, as was the entire property. Even the modern bathroom deserves a shout out, after a long drive a proper shower is always welcomed and this was no disappointment. Overall we can’t thank Les Colas enough for a great stay, with guests also from France and Germany at the table we had a really enjoyable exchange of stories and culture, of course some humour too. We hope to return in the not too distant future and would encourage anyone to stay there too, Guedelon being just up the road is perfect. Merci Beaucoup.

The host, Christophe, welcomed us warmly, a very pleasant conversationalist, helpful in everything, polite, built a special place, with a lot of investment, beliefs, pictures, statues, cute cats, very talented, we sat and talked over a glass of wine, helped me fix a problem with the car. Enjoyed the breakfast, slept well, the place is big and spacious, view is very good. We would love to come back

The property features city views. Guests can make use of outdoor furniture if they wish to dine or sit outside. Alain and Sylvie made us feel very welcome in their lovely home. Our bedroom and en suite had been tastefully modernised and were spotlessly clean. A generous breakfast featuring local produce was supplemented with a selection of home-made jams and marmalades. Superb!

Situated in Solutré-Pouilly, in a historic building, 12 km from Mâcon Exhibition Centre, Chez Romain is a guest house with a garden and bar. Great location, beautiful accommodation with everything you need and a very friendly host (fluent in english as well). We were able to park our bikes safely locked. We had a great wine tasting so in addition to a good place to stay they also have very good wines. Since we arrived relatively late the hosts were so kind to reserve us a restaurant. Great Stay!

Dinner on site which was delicious and paired with wines from the local area. Dinner also included a large cheeseboard. Christophe and Stephanie are very knowledgeable on the regions produce and will make you feel welcome. You can purchase wines off them from local wineries at cellar door prices and hire biker to ride into Macon. Highly recommend
