The hosts are very caring and provided us with eggs, fruit, pastries and wine. The accessibility of places of tourist interest in the Douro Valley is very good. But you can't do it without a car! Amazing views & lovely house with everything we needed. Everyone had a fantastic holiday. The only decisions were whether to swim in the pool or the river which was surprisingly warm. We loved watching the river cruise boats go past too! It is a remote and very peaceful location which was exactly what we were looking for. Lovely sandy beach below the house. Awoken to cockerels and sheep bells tinkling! A rural idyll. Shops & supermarkets in Cinfaes only 10 to 15 min drive away.
