Perfect location - right in the heart of Sintra. The breakfast area ("Cafe Saudade", which we believe is owned by the same people who own "Chalet Saudade"), was only a 1 minute walk from the Chalet - and served up a lovely, varied breakfast every morning - and that kept us going until late afternoon. Breakfast times were also very flexible - available anytime from 08:30 - 12:00 and the staff serving the breakfast were very friendly & helpful. We only interacted with staff at the Chalet when we were checking-in / checking-out, but they were very friendly on both occasions. The room itself was a great size (significantly larger than most of the rooms that were offered at the Tivoli Sintra hotel for a similar price) and it was like a small apartment in many ways, with a separate bedroom and living room area .... and a separate closet for hanging/storing clothes and shoes. We also had a great view of the park area, looking up the hill to the Moorish Castle, which is lit-up beautifully at night-time. All of the small modern amenities that you'd like to have were available - fridge, hairdyer, tea-making facilities and a large, flat-screen TV (which we didn't turn on once because the weather was so good in Sintra). In terms of cleanliness, the collective space within the one "room" was immaculate and the three air conditioning units (one in the bedroom, one in the bathroom and one in the living room) were working perfectly - and this was greatly appreciated given that our visit occurred in the middle of an abnormal heatwave. As long as the price remains very reasonable, I would have no hesitation in staying here again if I ever get the opportunity to return to Sintra .... in fact, I can't imagine that I would even bother trying to book anywhere else. The owners of the Chalet Saudade & Cafe Saudade should be very proud of themselves and the staff who run the operation of both on their behalf.

The building is marvelous, with all the nice work in marble, just beautiful, all details! Very attentive and supportive staff. The location in the town center as well the fact that could park the car in the Marmòris Palace was very convenient. Recommend!

Quinta da Bella Vista was wonderful. It was absolutely the most delightful stay we have ever had. The hosts are so friendly and respectful we felt like treasured guests The location in the rainforest is magical it is only 10 minutes to town centre and the castle but Quinta da Bella Vista becomes a home you hate to leave Thank you for a most incredible stay

This place is just a jewel and paradise. But the quality of this stay is not only about the place and incredible property, but even more about the incredibly gentle, kind, polite and attentive owner and host Ricardo. We have never experienced such relaxation and beauty of a place. Also Ricardo has an amazing taste regarding the interior and outside of the house. We will come back for sure and can highly recommand this unique oasis of relaxation.
