Loved this wee room above an ancient pub (1600?). Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in. I'm pretty well of average height & had to dip my head to get through doorways, what fun! If you was after a classic old old pub the Rose & Crown is a top pick in a divine little village. The room was so comfortable & the shower was excellent. Oh, did I mention the complimentary full English Breakfast?

Abbie, behind the bar and showing us our room,and owners Jackie and her husband are exceptionally helpful, lovely people. The pub was quiet before 10.00pm and we had a peaceful night. While the bedroom is quaint with its sloping floors and low doors, the shower was state of the art. Delicious breakfast.

There was a real sense of history in what was clearly an ancient establishment. The staff were warm and friendly throughout our brief stay. The breakfast was delicious, and personally cooked for us by the owner. Also enjoyed and savored the local gin (not for breakfast)!GodfreyYoung couple
