Underbart att ha alla faciliteter och funktioner av ett större hotell på ett lugnt och fridfullt boende. Man fick sköta sig själv men hade tillgång till allt man behövde, t.o.m en bar vid poolen!

The unit features views over the Atlantic Ocean and the lush Laurissilva Forest.... Quinta das Hortênsias was an exceptionally beautiful and peaceful place to stay. A great base for various hiking excursions, too.

All the details, so very well taken care off this place. We had a warm welcome, with some nice snacks in the house. The house you are stay at is very spacious, has a lovely balcony in the sun and everywhere you look it is green. We used this location to go for the sunrise at Pico Ruivo, which was a good decision as it is only a 20 minute drive. can also recommend the restaurant Abrigo de pastor for dinner. We made our own breakfast as you have a fully equipped kitchen, everything was there!

Quinta Terezinha is the perfect place to stay if you are looking for a base to discover the island. The host Laura was so friendly and was really useful in providing information for the shops, restaurants and places to visit. The accommodation itself was perfect and exceeded our expectations. The farmhouse was lovely with comfy beds, a great shower and really clean. We didn't really make the most of the outdoor areas, but there are hammocks, a barbeque and sun loungers all with amazing views. As others have mentioned, you will likely become the owner of a couple of cats for your stay which we loved. On arrival, Laura had prepared a welcome hamper with some local exotic fruits, ground coffee and a bottle of Madeira Wine which was a lovely touch. If you run out or want any more fresh produce from the farm then the instructions are to just help yourself. What an amazing stay - just wish we could have stayed longer.

Moinho do Comandante ligger i São Roque på Madeira. Boendet ligger i en lummig trädgård, som har en källa med drickbart vatten. We loved everything about staying Moinho. Carlos and Leonor are the most wonderful hosts and we fell in love immediately with the incredibly beautiful place they made. In the mornings Carlos makes a wonderful breakfast with whatever you prefer, in the evenings you can enjoy a quiet drink in the bar or outside in the gardens or take advantage of the sauna! We can't wait to return there soon!
