Hosts are very kind and polite people, can help, advise, or provide their own food like cheese, salami or vegetable (recommended). Appartment well equiped and clean. The view from the balcony is stunning! The locals in Montemaggiore were incredibly nice, as were the hosts Nicola and his mother. Hiking trails are near the house on the Italian-Slowenian border. By car, you can reach either the mediterranean town Cividale del Friuli or the alpine landscape of Triglav National Park within 30min. The Rifugio at the foot of Mt. Matajur serves delicious meals, at night people come here to gaze at the stars. We would gladly return some day!
