The hotel is located in a ship with a varied history - used during wartimes, but also for trade, then for a playboy‘s party life, it had been left unused for many years before the current owners restored it. Hotel rooms are designed as cabins with en-suite bathrooms, breakfast and drinks are served in the upper deck. We loved the design of the rooms and common areas - high quality and nicely classic without any kitsch. Service was impeccable, and while breakfast was rather simple, the bar served very creative cocktails. Certainly a very unique experience!

This modern hotel is next to the Ocean Terminal shopping centre and the Royal Yacht Britannia. It has paid onsite parking, air-conditioned rooms and regular buses to the city centre stop outside. I booked two rooms and they were cleaned and comfortable. Also the hotel near to Ocean shops and restaurants at Ocean and Asda market is 8 minutes and open 24hrs which is good.

They let me keep my bag in the luggage room in the morning, even though the check in time was at 3pm. There was no receptionist and you get all the information on time, so absolutely no hassle. The location was fantastic. Two minutes from the shore and around 10 minutes to the castle and other attractions. We used an Uber to get to the main city center instead of driving because of construction works everywhere in the city. the bedrooms are god size with two bathrooms. the kitchen had everything we needed. There is a Tesco express right underneath which was useful. Secure car parking too which was wonderful to have. Plus truly wonderful hosts who are beyond hospitable and welcoming.
