This hotel opposite Cologne's Lanxess Arena offers a unique mix of historic and modern architecture and good transport links. The Hotel Stadtpalais is set in a protected historic building. So pleased I chose this hotel, originally chosen as attending an event at the Lanxess Arena. Perfect location for that as only steps across the road, but with an underground station so close by we were in the centre of Cologne within minutes. Nice to remove ourselves from the hustle and bustle of the centre. Big room, comfortable bed and great shower/bath. Breakfast was lovely with lots of choice. Bar area very nice with excellent cocktails! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again, a perfect base to explore Cologne.

This 3-star hotel in Cologne is just a few steps from Deutz/Lanxess Arena Underground Station and a 6-minute walk from the KölnMesse exhibition grounds. It offers 24-hour reception and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is only one station away from the Cologne central station, so very near to the city center and there were multiple S-Bahn that we could get on so we didn't have to wait too long if we missed one train. The room was cozy. It was equipped with all we needed for one night. The beds, bathroom were clean. The staff was friendly and the reception is open 24 hours!

Directly opposite Cologne Trade Fair, this hotel offers soundproofed rooms, hot drinks facilities and free WiFi in the rooms. Cologne’s old town is 7 minutes away by underground train. Very kind and helpful staff, truly professionals. The room was nice, very clean and had all the nice touches (quality soap and such for the bathroom, teapot, large windows, small fridge, good pillows and mattress, complementary water bottle). As far as location goes, it's within walking distance of the old town center and the Koln Messe/Deutz railway station. However, it's quiet at night so you can rest properly.
