Room was comfortable, hotel is near the river and there is great 30 min walking route to the center of the city. The location of hotel is quiet and there is a bus stop around 5 min walking which can take you to the centre if you don't want to walk. I would defenetly recomend this hotel..

The family-run 3-star Hotel Plainbrücke is located 2.5 km from the centre of Salzburg. Free WiFi and free private parking are available. Nice little place! Tiny hotel that looks like it was a secondary railway station at some point - the tracks are very, very close behind it and there's a train stop there, too. Despite that, I could never hear the trains go by. The room was spacious, with a nice sink and a shower. Small but functional TV, with HDMI and analog inputs. Analog cable was provided. The toilet was on the ground floor, but it was always empty when I went there. There is a snacks/drinks machine on the stairs, with reasonable prices. The cleaning staff let me sleep!! They didn't even knock on the door when I put the "do not disturb" sign on the door. Decent breakfast, warm room.
