The Hotel zum Hirschen is Salzburgs oldest family-run hotel, conveniently located in the city center and only a few minutes by foot from the historic old town and the train station. Absolutely perfect accomodation in freshly renewed hotel. Spacious rooms and bathrooms with extra size showers. Really liked the stay a lot. The selection on breakfast was great with lot of BIO products. Next to the hotel is very tasty vegetarian and vegan restaurant also with brunch options. After many stays in different hotel - this one was a great surprise. If coming back to Salzburg, will stay here again.

Checked in late, and we were able to unwind in the bar and have a few drinks. Breakfast was great with a lot of variety.

The Scherer is a traditional, family-run 4-star hotel in a quiet residential area, only a 15-minute walk along the Salzach River from Salzburg’s Old Town. The hotel is located very close to Salzach river in a very quiet and beautiful neighbourhood. The personnel was always polite and helpful. The room was very clean and the breakfast rich and delicious. I couldn’t expect more! I would definitely recommend.
