Situated only 150 metres from a main transportation hub, Goldener Adler enjoys a central location in the heart of Linz/Urfahr. Free WiFi and a breakfast buffet. The owner (?) went out of his way to make it possible for us to charge our EV overnight, giving up his personal charger for us, and helping us to fit our large car into the somewhat cramped parking space. Excellent service, great location, highly recommended!

Arte Hotel Linz is located 500 metres from centre of Linz, 200 metres from the Danube river. (DISCLAIMER: We are a mid-fifties couple from UK with both our sons at university - one in UK, one in Linz, Austria this year. Plus we love a Parkrun if possible) The 2nd time I'd been to Linz and 1st for my wife. Our eldest son is at the JK University here for the year. By some incredibly interesting planning by our son, we met him in Salzburg the previous day, then missed him in Linz as he'd gone off for the weekend with friends. Hey-ho! I wanted to show Linz to my wife. The hotel location was perfect as we were near the city centre - just the other side of the river. Plus, we were a km or so from the Linz Parkrun - a BIG Bonus as I'd run it on the previous trip. Plus we were right next to a tram stop to get to the University for a sight-seeing trip, etc. Bed great, location perfect, room was clean, shower was great, checkout time was perfect for us to do parkrun, return, shower then leave. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel; we found a nearby coffee-shop on the walk back to the main Linz train station.

Excellent for four people. Public transportation is also easy and close to the apartment. The host is super friendly and kind in picking our friend up from the station and solving our careless issues. We would 100% recommend it to everyone travelling to Linz.
