Like all establishments, it is the people that makes the difference. The lounge and den had exceptional views, the breakfast presented a good selection, simple and delicious. Fernando who looked after us in the restaurant deserves a special mention, and the front office staff Luciana who took the time to extend a very warm welcome and disseminated all information regarding the hotel’s dining experience, laundry pricing etc. No request was ever too tall for housekeeping, bravo! Back of the house - the chef/executive chef -mucho, mucho gracias, all our meals at dinner was delicious, great presentation and pleasing to the eyes.

Boasting an indoor heated pool with splendid views of Nahuel Huapi Lake, Tunquelén is set in an Alpine-style mansion surrounded by the lake and forest, a 35-minute drive from downtown Bariloche. Great facilities. Heritage hotel that is well maintained (don’t expect it to be like a brand new hotel). Incredible views and excellent well-priced food. Easy walk to Puerto Panuelo. And the three most important things (for me) in a hotel room- Very comfortable bed, dark, and quiet.

We loved our stay here. We get exactly what we expected/ and what it was explained. So its an old wooden house and of course you can hear the floor crackles but thats how it is. The warm welcome from the hosts, the atmosphere in the cottage, the cosy living room, the spacious dining room, and the lovely garden were just amazing. It felt good to be there. If you are more into nature this is excellent place to discover the national park. ( if you are a backpacker and on a low budget bring your food as the restaurants are expensive)

Th elocation was great, the house was nicely decorated and was reasonably spatious. Heating was very confortable. It has a very nice backyard. Although the host was not on the premises he responded very rapidly to the issues we had.
