Downtown area by riverwalk was excellent. Lots to do. Highly recommend Si-am Thaimerican Restaurant on Franklin St. Best around. Lot's of parking available, just google lots. I would not!
I would not! The room that we stayed in was Very outdated especially for the price. The hotel had a smell of dog once you entered the lobby and smell on the floor we stayed on was even worse. The tile on celling on the floor that we stayed in was missing. We wanted a none smoking room because we do not smoke and can not stand the smell of it and the room clearly smelled of smoke and the hallway was even worse. The beds was very thin and uncomfortable. To top it off they tell you that the food and drinks are complementary, AND IT IS NOT! They charge a 200 holding fee and it will come out of that. The food was not good we had wings and they were so huge it was unbelievable we did not eat them. I even called and spoke with a gentlemen and he couldn't even explain it. He know its confusing and hard for him to explain. They also charge for daily parking. My sister and her husband stayed just down the street at the Hampton Inn and the overall hotel and especially their room was so much better. I was only there for one night before joining the cruise. I did walk to the mall, although i stood at the bus stop. I saw a bus coming but then it turned onto another street. Loved Tampa Didn't love the shower tub combo.. If I was old i couldn't have used it. Crawl over the tub to get in. Shower sprayed water all over the floor even if your careful. Slippery floor wet from over spray. Someone is going to brake a hip. I wouldn't want to clean up after a shower. What a mess.

The cleaning staff did a great job making sure the room and common restrooms were really and I mean really clean! Beds and cushions were really comfortable and we had a great view on the city. The hotel has a nice bar where we enjoyed several days the happy hour, the Cuban croquetas and chicken I can recommend. Thanks guys for making our stay enjoyable.

Jordan, the front desk receptionist was exceptional! She's was so pleasant and professional. She was so willing to assist visitors as needed. This hotel is in a top location and many rooms have a beautiful night view of downtown Tampa. Dont forget to look up to the ceilings. They still show the beauty of what this hotel was like at one time.
