The apartment is really well located in the old town. It was superbly appointed with little extra touches taht make all the difference. Things like tea, coffee and breakfast items provided take some of the stress out. The apartment has been really beutifully renovated and in a stylish yet understated way, in keeping with the area. Comfortable beds and a great bathroom round it off. We will be back!

It's a beautiful, historic city, with fantastic local restaurants and cafes, stunning parks, and very clean and quiet. My favourite thing about the old town is that it's all cobblestones and austrian-style buildings with no car access. Perfect to walk around in. Even the streets by larger roads feel quiet, and it's so picturesque and green, it's wonderful to walk in.

Great old town and very nice small castle.
Great old town and very nice small castle. Good for walks, sitting in cafes, reading books, going to restaurants, visiting the cinema and going to small bars.
Not at all overcrowded by tourists (in late September) from various countries.
Very nice place to travel to.

This is a great day trip from Zagreb that is easily booked by bus. The old town core is well maintained and has significant architecture, charming terraces and cafes, and can be nicely covered in 1-2 days if you’d like to enjoy an overnight as I did.

Varazdin is a beautiful small town.
Varazdin is a beautiful small town. The appartment is situated in the ground floor with one main living room (and entrance hall) with kitchen, sleeping room, bathroom and wc. It is very comfortable with a lovely backyard. You can use a table with chairs outside, however, you must tolerate people coming to a small shop on the opposite side of your door. They are not many. The owners are very kind and willing to help.

It is a small town but very nice, with cozy atmosphere and peaceful streets. People are friendly and easy to talk to. Everything is very clean. They respect nature and have beautiful forests, lakes and mountains around the town, with castles to visit. Restaurants have a wide variety of menus, good food.

A beautiful city with hardly any tourists!
A beautiful city with hardly any tourists! Truly a hidden gem. We went in august, when the beaches were full. In Varazdin, there was hardly anyone!
Beautiful castles, country side, and rock climbing.
Probably the best accomodation i have ever had in my trips. A perfectly clean, spacious and modern apartment with 2 bedrooms, big bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen. The owner has paid attention to every single detail so as to make the visitor's stay comfortable and safe. Our communication was excellent and we were allowed to check out 3 hours later which was very convenient for us. Also, Varazdin's old town and castle are beautiful and deserve a visit.
On a way from Croatian coast to our home in Bratislava, Slovakia we wanted to see a beautiful old town Varazdin and decided to try something different from a hotel accommodation. We were very nicely surprised with a comfortable, extremely clean and well-equipped apartment. Great quality for a reasonable price. Nice owners welcomed us with a warm Croatian hospitality, offered a home-made cake, wine and beverages in a fridge.
In the end, we didn't stay at Garestin because they had some problem with heating in our room, but the most positive rating goes for the way they handled it - they found us another room in a hotel with 4*, for the same price and with everything we were supposed to get if we were staying at Garestin. Everything went without any problems and we are very satisfied with their hospitality and the way of communication 😊.
We had a perfect communication with the host, she helped us with the check-in/check-out procedures and also with the explanations about the apartment. The flat was located about 10' away walking distance from the downtown, in a safe and quiet area. We had also a parking spot close to the flat, so everything went well. We stayed one night, being in transit, so for us was a perfect stay here in Varaždin.
Love that the hotel was only a few steps from the bus station. To me, the location was perfect as it was a walking distance from the start line of the Varazdin Polumarathon. There was also a supermarket just across the hotel and that everything I needed was just a few steps away. Wi-fi was great! Room was a little small but for the price, I thought it was good value for money.
This is a lovely little nineteenth century style hotel. The staff was terrific and the location couldn't be better. We will be staying here again for the baroque music festival and are looking forward to returning. There is a small packing lot in the back if you are arriving by car.
Central and spacious apartment. It was comfortable and well equipped. Our host was very friendly and professional. He even arranged parking for us during the busy festival weekend we stayed. Happy to recommend this accommodation as the perfect place for your stay in Varazdin.
The apartment has it's own atmosphere and potential. A free parking was easy to find in close area, even we came very late. There were plenty towels to use. I really like the bedroom where I slept. The bed was comfortable. It's also quite close to the city.
Mrs. Zdenka was an outrageously nice and friendly host. It's just a short walk right to the center of Varaždin.
For sure we will come back next year to meet her again and to have a closer look of the Špancirfest in August 2024.
Beautiful apartment a few minutes walk from the city center. Excellent contactless check in, simple and effective. Free parking space in the inner yard. Friendly hosts ready to help with everything you need.
Great location, nice, clean, cosy and well equipped apartment and extremly kind and willing owner.
Next time we pass through Varazdin we definitely stay here again.
