Absolutely darling studio. Clean, quality, and quiet, right in the center of town. Sublime patio overlooking all of the valley. We had a very nice happy hour there.

A super location for a stay near Motovun. Nena is an exceptional host who kindly took our bikes in and locked them away in the garage. She took us to the village in her car which is a 25 min walk up the road. She also made us coffee and pastry breakfast.

This apartment is in a beautiful location if you’d like to unwind after a long day of seeing Motovun. My partner and I biked to Motovun, then checked in around 7 pm, and left in the morning via the Parenzana (additional perk that the path is right by). The apartment is a bit far from Motovun by foot, took us approximately 15 minute by bike (and that was going downhill). We didn’t stay long in the morning and did not get to experience the complimentary breakfast that many other reviews referred to. The apartment did have an electric kettle (but no instant coffee) and a mini fridge. Everything was very clean and we loved sitting in the backyard, watching the stars.

The apartment was beautiful! The perfect combination of modern and rustic looks and amenities. Upon arrival, the wonderful hosts offered us their amazing wine and a tasty selection of meats, cheeses, grapes, and fresh bread, which we enjoyed under a perfect gazebo right in front of the apartment. I drive a truck, and parking was more than adequate, right at the apartment door. I really appreciate the hosts' kindness and openness to me and my three sons. I recommend bringing some coffee to enjoy the mountainside view in the morning, though. I highly recommend this property to anyone wanting a quiet stay for a great price!

Great place for lovers of medieval hill-top towns and truffles. One can enjoy just a stroll through the town and views of surroundings for an hour, can have a great dining experience or stay for days and explore Istria, one of the prettiest and welcoming places on earth. "Medieval" and "hill-top" also mean that you walk a lot on rugged cobblestone, you walk uphill and climb stairs, and "great place" means it's crowded in the high season (summer). Still, one of the better places to escape to from crowded coastal towns, focused primarily on visitors' wallets.

A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore.
A classic medieval town that was so fun to explore. Be sure to visit the cathedral (opened about 10 during our visit) and (carefully) climb the bell tower for a spectacular view of the valley and beyond. We visited in late October when some businesses had closed for the season and others were winding down. We would visit again in September.

Great location in old town.
Great location in old town. Wonderful people and amazing views from the walls and restaurants. Wine and truffle country and free samples were almost too much. Lol
Tiny and hilly old stone streets within a walled city oozing with history.
Our host was gracious, laid back and a pleasure to just chat with.
We would highly recommend.

It's a spectacular location on a hilltop with amazing views all-round of mountainous country including vineyards & olive groves. Delicious and reasonably-priced restaurants at the very top, friendly people, tons of charm. Nearby are several vineyards & the local wines are very nice, and affordable. Easy day trips to Pula, Rovinj, Buzet & others.

This was my first time in Istria.
This was my first time in Istria. We checked out Kozlovic winery, we sampled their delicious wine and had a tour. View is spectacular. Had dinner in Motovun, tried gnocchi with truffles, very tasty! Pictures of the amazing views do not do it justice. Will definitely visit again!

Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria.
Motovun is lovely little town in the heart of Istria. I really liked it. The prices at restaurants in general in comparison to offer are a bit limited. However we managed to find something for ourselves at the end. We missed bakeries. We did not find single one so we travelled to Pazin on our way back home and found amazing bakery.
Perhaps tourism board should create a special list with all possible places providing food and menu of same, all in one place saves from walking especially if one has slight walking disabilities.
Everything else is lovely and look forward returning to Istria
The view from the balcony is amazing! It is nice to stay in the beautiful historic centre and walk around in the morning before most of the other tourists come to town. The hotel owners are very friendly. They came to pick us up from the parking, which is very helpful when you have big luggage because the road is steep and bumpy. You can order breakfast at additional costs, which is excellent (incl. fresh tomatoes from their own garden and their home produced olive oil).
Nevia (nicknamed Nena) is more than a superhost! The facilities marvellous. Only nuissance was the road, but on a Fridaynight got quiet at 23h, just leaving the remote barking dogs. The location (very close to P for Motovun), the spacious layout, the wondefull garden with amazing views and cosy terraces, the hospitality and delicious foods/drinks, all just marvellous! Just across the street nice Kroatiam cafe/restaurant that closes at 21h.
For this price? Unique!
Everything was perfect:) we came with a small baby and the staff was more than helpfull. They arranged a crib and had a feeding chair for us at breakfast. Breakfast and the location of the dining terace is wonderfull. They provide parking place for you and the transport to hotel. Room size is adequate for this type of accomodation. We had a great stay and if we ever come back to Motovun this is the place we will stay :)
Lovely experience to stay in a 300 year old stone building, renovated into a cosy and comfortable holiday retreat. Everything one needs to self-cater was provided. A dedicated car park was 70m away. Location was perfect to explore Motovun and surrounding villages. Our host Goran was very generous (gave us complimentary wine, olive oil and home-made brandy) and helpful. Highly recommend this accommodation.
This apartment is located next to a 3-4 star hotel, with all amenities of the hotel but with a special setting in a building set apart from the hotel, which gives you extra privacy and space with spectacular views. The cost of the apartment was significantly less than the hotel. It can sleep 1 to 6. The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. Dinner in the restaurant was delicious.
Spacious lovely room in a rural setting. Walkable. Hot tub takes a while to warm up so set it, go for supper, and then dip when you get back. I read some comments about dogs barking and we had a little bit of that but this region is truffle-hunting region; there are more dogs than people so I’m sure they are heard everywhere.
A beautiful place with a lot of history, culinary indulgence. The view is fantastic. You can use the hotel shuttle from the parking lot to the hotel; otherwise, the route is approximately 1.5 km long (on foot). The waiters tried hard and were in a good mood despite the occasional big crowd.
It was perfect, like a dream place. Every detail was just perfect - general spirit, great furnished, lights, candles, coffee machine and millk in the fridge! Wine on the table. Music ♥️ View, place to drink coffee outside on the morning. Eco as well which is not common in Croatia.
Great little house in a tiny village on a hill outside Motovun. Quaint, quiet, beautiful views, clean air. All you hear are birds and all you breathe is fresh air. Real paradise for someone looking to relax in countryside and be close enough to restaurants and tourist attractions.
Close to the center of Motovun & walkable to everything. Staff is super friendly & helpful. The breakfast in the morning is so wonderful and the ability to enjoy breakfast & sunset cocktails on the terrace is an experience that shouldn’t be missed.
Free parking was a nice perk.
lovely spacious apartment. very conveniently located in motovun. clean and orderly with very homey amenities. full kitchen and washing machine. we had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. watching the sunset on the balcony was a highlight.
Exceptionally clean and fresh. Beautifully decorated. Every convenience provided. Host provides coffee and milk. Well equipt kitchen. Comfortable beds. Just a lovely, spacious place. The views out the windows can’t be beat!
We stayed here for a week, Motovun was our base for exploring Istria. The flat is great, very cosy and with a lovely view. It has all necessary amenities and it's in a great location. We enjoyed our time here immensely.
The location. Within walking distance to everything Motovun had to offer! The view from our clean and comfortable room was stunning. Highly recommend purchasing the delicious breakfast! Great host too!
