This was our second stay at The Springs, and as the first stay, we had a great time, food is lovely, bar friendly and well stocked, lots of places to sit and especially nice that we had good weather on the day we arrived and could sit outside and watch some of the golfers coming up the 18th hole. A very stylish and comfy deluxe room, light and airy and lovely views across the lawn into the lake beyond. We also had a pleasant hour in the spa pool area and were able to relax with a glass of bubbly while we sat, and after checking out the following morning we used the golf simulator at the club, great fun. We will be back again soon!

The room was recently refurbished, was huge as was the bathroom and it looked out to the stunning river. The breakfast was great value, main meal was of a very good standard. The bar area was lovely as was the dining area. All staff were friendly. I would definitely return

Nice market town next to the river. Offers a full range of shops, cafes and restaurants. We ate in the Old Post Office which was nicely laid out and served a wide selection of dishes. There are also a range of independent shops and walks along the river.

Lovely little town.
Lovely little town. We came for the 1940s day out at the steam railway. People very friendly. Had lovely meal at The Old Post Office. Nice pubs. Impressive Agatha Christie monument. Would definitely recommend a visit. Note that Sundays a lot of the shops and restaurants are closed.

This town has something for everyone.
This town has something for everyone. Thames Riverside walks, steam railway, castle and connections to Agatha Christy. Start with the museum which is superbly laid out and then explore the period of history that interests you inthe town.

Fab location & Good shower but that’s it.
Fab location & Good shower but that’s it. Disorganised in-house, very young people on breakfast duty with no idea whether ordered food or not. Minimal facilities , small room & filthy throughout apart from breakfast & dining area. Nobody on reception on arrival or vacating hotel. Should be fabulous but lack of management was poor.

Learn about Matilda and Stephen's history and stay for half a day, meandering through the town, visiting Agatha Christy place.
The Old Post Office is a nice place for food and drinks.
And the remains of the castle good to walk around
Visited for golf as part of a society. Beautiful golf course and outstanding facilities in a lovely part of Oxfordshire. If you are a golfer, despite heavy overnight rain the course held up really well with no flooding on the greens at all. Staff were very helpful and attentive. Food choice and quality excellent. The lodges are very new, modern in style, comfortable. Good parking too. No complaints at all. I think the whole group will be returning again soon.
A lovely welcome: self-contained accommodation above the pub and comfortable twin beds (as requested). Our host supplied a complimentary breakfast in the room of cereals, milk/fruit juice/ choc croissants which was very considerate for (Ridgeway) walkers wanting an early start. Despite having a room/windows facing a main road through Wallingford it wasn't noisy in the middle of the night.
Cranberry Cottage is a delightful characterful property, really conveniently situated minutes from the centre of Wallingford. Sue and Brendan were very friendly and welcoming and the room was beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Breakfast in the lovely farmhouse kitchen was brilliant and I especially enjoyed Sue's amazing home-made bread and jams.
It a nice little hotel in beautiful Wallingford. The staff was very friendly and caring and the room was big and offered everything you needed for a night's stay. The only small thing was that the window didn't close properly and wasn't well isolated, so you could hear the cars driving past your window. But it was relatively quiet between 11pm and 7am, so all good!
Breakfast was good value for the money. had an issue with our first room but the staff were happy to relocate us to a different room. My wife and I had a great time at the George Hotel and would recommend to others for a great stay. All the staff were very accommodating and very professional and polite and helpful. We will be back again one day soon.
Forge House is situated in the beautiful town of Wallingford. It is just a few minutes' walk to the centre of town.
The house itself is so stylish with a nod to Agatha Christie and the art deco era. The house has excellent facilities and is very comfortable.
The host was very helpful and greeted on arrival.
The staff are wonderful and offered a very warm welcome as soon as I walked in the door. The room was great with a very comfortable bed. The shower was strong and hot. The dinner menu was limited, but the pizza was great. Breakfast was very good with great sausages. I would love to stay in the hotel again.
Immaculate room and bathroom.
Very nice hosts who provided plenty of information about Wallingford and things to do there.
Off-road private parking spot and breakfast were a bonus received with open arms. Great value for money.
The location is quite convenient and easy to get to.
Every single member of staff we encountered, from housekeeping and maintenance to reception and bar staff, were lovely and a credit to the hotel. Rooms were stylish and pub area was quirky and comfortable.
Breakfast was excellent and the location is good, close to the main roads to Oxford & Reading and obviously Wallingford which is a lovely town.
It benefits from being nice & quiet in the evening.
Super friendly receptionist; setting and tables by the river are amazing; easy to find; quiet even though close to road. Would return even though we believe the hotel has seen better days.
very relaxed atmosphere- small menu - nice food - breakfast good - quiet location - not far from Wallingford- walkable — staff friendly and helpful - would definitely recommend !
