Perfect location on the Pantiles, stylishly furnished, very comfortable bed, helpful staff and good value. When it turned out I was struggling with stairs to the 5th floor due to an injury, the staff not only helped with my luggage, but found me a very splendid room on a lower floor for the second night, and honoured the original price.

Great experience, went to see grandson in show, but decided to stay overnight. Great place to walk round, nice architecture and variety of shops - scotney castle 10 minutes away
One on the best places to eat from all places I’ve visited - the grill restaurant at the barn. Excellent food and great value, if I lived locally it would be weekly visit without a doubt.

Pleasant town for sight seeing.
Pleasant town for sight seeing. Good transport facilities by local transport. There are a reasonable number of eating places and the usual Coffee chains offering refrehments. The Pantiles is the usual visiting spot for small shops and antiques. There is a central Railway with connections all over the country. Has bus and taxi services too. There is a local library in the town centre with an interesting museum. There is an extensive shopping mall as well. There are some parks and some hills that could be explored, all near the centre of town

It is a very interesting town.
It is a very interesting town. There are many fascinating buildings dating from the Georgian period, including the Pantiles.
The shopping area, although small, has several quality outlets.
The general vibe of the town centre is very good especially at night.
Of course, Tunbridge Wells is set amongst beautiful Kent countryside.
A great place to visit.

Despite the early morning cleaners - the noise was intolerable and we could have done with a lie in, considering we didn’t have to check out until 11 - we left by 9! We only had one night booked but expected more . For the price, breakfast should have been included .

We stayed at this hotel over the weekend and we’re very pleased with everything we found there. A very clean, quirky, quiet hotel with great decor, very friendly polite staff and our room was perfect ( superior king room). The breakfast was great, hot and very tasty! I would highly recommend The mount edgecumbe hotel.

The hotel was in a good location for the Pantiles and Spa Valley railway. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were allowed to check in early, and when my partner had a migraine on our departure day, they allowed him to stay in the room for longer so he could sleep. The room was clean, and the shower was great. We ate there on the first night, and the food was very tasty. Breakfast was good. Another plus was the free parking. We would definitely stay again. Well done, Smith and Western.
Having stayed here a few times, we knew what to expect and The Royal lived up to expectations.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and any small defect is addressed straight away.
Staff are friendly and helpful and always ready to offer assistance to those of use with mobility issues.
Thankfully there is no buffet at breakfast, your meal choice being freshly prepared and brought to your table.
Next time we're in the area, our first choice will be to stay at The Royal
Friendly staff . Very clean . Large bedroom and bathroom. Good selection of different food at breakfast. Close to A21 and M25 and direct route into London. It just took us an hour to drive from our home in East London to the hotel where friends of ours were staying for a few nights . Close to the pretty town of Royal Tunbridge Wells and also the Spa Steam Railway . Not far from Hastings which is also an interesting town with plenty to see .
Everything!! Part of us wants to keep it a secret - but then the other part wants to shout it from rooftops. It was like a little boutique hotel in the middle of the Common and so handy for the town centre. We only had breakfast there (exceptional) but we will be back soon and will certainly eat in the restaurant. This was a birthday surprise for my friend Karren - thank you - you did me proud!
The hotel is in the old Tunbridge Wells West railway, which has been nicely restored and the “wild west” theme is quite fun. The location is great as it is only a short walk from the town centre and yet nice and quiet. There’s a Sainsbury’s superstore next door, too.
The staff are all nice, friendly and welcoming helping to make my stay very pleasant.
Beautiful room. Excellent bathroom. Quirky and amusing historic house in central Tunbridge Wells but surrounded by woods: a place full of character with an extraordinary 6th century sandstone cave as part of the bar/dining area. Very cheerful, friendly and attentive staff. Fun to stay there. We look forward to going again.
Really lovely hotel with great spa facilities in beautiful grounds. Would be a fantastic place to get married. Had a nice relaxing 2-day break there and wish we could have stayed longer. Not cheap but good value considering what a beautiful place it is. Onsite charging for our electric car was good. Flat charge of £12
I used to stay here a lot, but haven't been for three years - i.e. since Covid. The hotel has always been lovely, but I used to find the staff very inexperienced and not very polite - they have improved a lot and are much more as you would expect in what is a fairly luxury hotel. Generally a very nice experience.
the hotel was easy to find and had a nice large parking lot. they have a bar and restaurant on site which was quite nice. the room was cozy and bed co for table. we enjoyed our dinner and breakfast. the staff was outstanding. I was surprised by the large selection on the menu at dinner.
The location is perfect. In the town with everything walking distance. The aircon worked well. Nice view of park. Problems with room were quickly addressed. The reception service was excellent. The hotel restaurant is a nice-to-have on the premises.
Character filled hotel right on the Pantiles within walking distance to all that Tunbridge Wells shopping and dining has to offer. Staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was great quality and value!
I always like to stay at Hotel du Vin wherever there is one, as the rooms are reasonably priced, the hotels are dog friendly, and the rooms are interesting with nice decor. The bathrooms are always the best feature.
Darcy was just fantastic checking us in, she was a gem!!!
The room was comfortable, modern and we felt a bit spoiled. Location is easily walkable to High Street.
Our favorite hotel during our visit to England!!
We liked that the hotel had character and history. We loved the grounds of the property. We loved the bathtub in our bathroom. It was also nice to be able to see the property from the small window in our room.
