I arrived early, my luggage was taken good care of.

We first visited Pitlochry in autumn 2019 - it was delightful then - it’s now spring 2024 - just as enjoyable, not a lot has changed. The main shopping precinct is busy with bus tours and particularly with tourists over the weekend - early mornings are best to get a seat in a coffee shop . To beat the crowds, take the suspension bridge across Tummel River to the Port-na-Craig area - the stone cottages and pub by the river bank is a tranquil area to enjoy. Continue along the walking path to the ‘salmon ladder’ and beyond to Faskally Wood or much further to the Killiecrankie Visitors Centre.

A thriving town with lots of independent shops to browse in, eateries & bars & the distillery. There are several museums & galleries. There are frequent drama productions. All the hotels were well signposted.
The scenery is superb with the River Tummel, lochside, woodland & mountain vistas.
Loch Faskally is absolutely stunning & Queens View is aptly named.
There are many walks available from Ben Vrackie 841m, to many waymarked walks in the forest parks. There is a great stroll down to the river & a nice park near the hotel.
Great for angling & cycling routes south of the river. The botany of the limestone outcrops is famous.

Lots of choices of restaurants / pubs. Plenty of quaint shops on the high street. A good base for sightseeing. Short car journey from The House of Brewer. We stayed 1 night to break our journey up, so limited time to fully explore the area.

Always love walking along the river and crossing the dam.
Always love walking along the river and crossing the dam. We had more time this time, so walked down to the boats and enjoyed a lovely cuppa from the other side of the dam. There's a path that runs from the start of the dam (behind the car park) and around the side of the dam into a housing estate. Then walk down towards the Green Park Hotel.
You must take a trip to House of Bruar ! Fabulous shopping experience.

Good location to visit The Highlands.
Good location to visit The Highlands. Train station at the bottom of the gardens.
Only 30mins from Perth (where we rented a car) and 1hr 30mins to Inverness.
7 miles to Queens View, great view point of Loch Tummel and Schiehallion.
House of Bruar department store 10mins by car. There are buses but not many.
Fishers Hotel good hotel, good Restaurant.
The Coach House serves very good food (not cheap).
Plenty of other places to eat and Supermarket just off high street.
Location, central and perfect to navigate around. Minutes walk from train station and car parks.
Hotel room modern and bathroom had a double shower unit / power shower and luxury soaps, which was a real treat. Bed was super comfy.
Breakfast (full Scottish breakfast) was fabulous, best tattie scones I've ever tasted !
We ate dinner in the bar restaurant and service was quick and friendly staff. Food was good. Pricey however everything in Pitlochry seems expensive !
Loved the white pudding from the Mckays chippie next door.
They upgraded our room that included a bay window looking out onto the charming little town. We absolutely loved it. The room was very clean, filled with charm and the bed was super comfortable. The woman who staffed the desk was extremely sweet, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is fantastic, large and actually quite stunning. When you stay overnight, they essentially discount the breakfast, which is an added bonus. There is quite a lot to explore in and around Pitlochry and we wished we had stayed longer!
The hotel is charming. Set in a lovely quiet area of Pitlochry, and within easy walking distance of the high street, the hotel offers easy parking, with attractive grounds.
Breakfast was first class, the dining area nicely laid out. Friendly, welcoming staff.
We did not eat dinner at the hotel,( as we eat lunchtimes), but the menu looked very good.
We had a standard bedroom, smaller than we like, but adequate. The bed was very comfortable, and the room clean.
This is a beautifully maintained, elegant property a short walk from the “downtown” of lovely Pitlochry. The rooms were spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the owners, Steve and Stephanie, could not have been more friendly and welcoming. There’s a lovely sun room where you can sit and look over the city while you drink Scotch. And Stephanie’s made-to-order breakfasts were varied and delicious! It was probably our favorite stay in Scotland.
The staff were absolutely fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. They were helpful, extremely considerate.
Breakfast was a delight. The location of the hotel was perfect, a short walk into the centre of Pitlochry. The hotel is set in beautiful grounds. The log burner in the lounge was absolutely perfect after an evening in the Enchanted Forest. We shall be returning next year and I have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.
The reception staff were friendly and polite although the gentleman responsible for manning reception seemed to be stretched in all directions as he was checking guests in, running the bar, and serving food. He could’ve benefited from having some more help on hand! The hotel has ample free parking available which was great. The location is also good, as it’s a short walk into the Main Street in Pitlochry.
Very clean and comfortable. Attention to detail .Location and views were great. Karen is the entertainment but also a stickler for hygiene ad good practice. We had family staying in Pitlochry Hydro but they preferred visiting our hotel (mostly to see Karen ). On our next trip to Pitlochry we will definitely be booking again. Breakfast was lovely and very well presented.
Beautiful house and nice garden area to relax in. Lovely family running the place! The breakfast was included and was a nice mix of continental options and hot menu items to order—wonderful view from the dining room! About a 10 minute walk into the town. Pitlochry gets pretty quiet once all the tour buses leave, but there are several nice restaurants that stay open.
Our room was lovely. Nice view from the window. All very clean and every facility needed was available. Welcomed by our host and made to feel very welcome. Breakfast served in a lovely room with plentiful supply of everything.
The hotel was situated away from the Main Street but only a five minute walk.
Location, easy walking distance to all shops, cafes, bars and restaurants. Friday and Saturday nights groups playing.Hotel b/fast set you of for the day, pool, sauna and jazzcua with poolside loungers.Would recommended having a massage or 2 girls really good. All staff friendly, helpful, rooms spotless .
1. The Welcome at reception.
2. The accurate Booking.com description and you do get the Backpacker experience that is promoted.
3. Clean bedding, loos and kitchen facilities.
4. Immediate proximity to Pitlochry main street and all it has to offer.
5. Awesome walks through stunning countryside.
The location of the hotel is very good. As my son in law ran my daughter and myself up to Pitlochry for a few days and collected us we had no transport - that was the reason we wanted to be in the centre of the town. The meals were up to standard.
Very clean with spacious rooms that are well appointed. Comfortable beds and emasculate modern bathroom. The breakfast was 5 star. Their fruit salad was the best one I’ve ever had—-sooo fresh and full of variety!
The hotel is perfect: good location, great food, friendly and professional service. The pub downstairs is amazing, there are many beers to choose from, the food is very good, the prices are right.
