The stay here was brilliant. It had everything that we needed for our 4 night stay. It was really quiet at night and Tina and Simon helped us out with information and recommended places to go. We stayed in Lockerbie as we went to a wedding in Springkell. It was about 20 minutes drive away so is really easy to reach.

Good customer service. Food was good rather than exceptional but good value for money. Also when they made a mistake they responded positively and promptly. Good location for breaking a long journey between the Highlands and the south.

As I was only there for work, it would be difficult to comment too much on the town itself as I didn't get a chance to see too much of it, although the areas I did see were lovely. However it appears a good base for exploring the South West of Scotland, with good rail and motorway links

I arrived late afternoon and went for a run. Didn't have a lot of time to explore. Will be back. The people I met were friendly and kind. This day we saved a dog 🐕 from being run down. He had run away or been abandoned and was running harem scare. So myself and the town dwellers all came together to help the dog. Well done this community spirit!

It was a lovely building, breakfast nicely cooked , no other choices to full Scottish, fresh fruit would have been nice ....the breakfast is priced at £14.95 and not £11.95 as stated on booking .com ..
Bathroom light was automatic and an issue when using through the night ...beds comfortable though we found the room too hot ...
I probably wouldn't stay again

Lockerbie is a quiet, sleepy town with very little in the way of restaurants. Hotel was tired but clean and comfortable - renovation should modernise it.
Golf course was quite hilly however provided great views of surrounding area - people at golf club were however very friendly and helpful. Nearby Lochmaben was a much better golf experience for anyone looking to golf in the area.
People were however very friendly in the area.

Lockerbie itself very run down not much there but ideal base for touring round the most beautiful scenic routes. There are some lovely places of interest to visit when travelling around, we visited some lovely lochs, waterfalls castles and the highest village wanlockhead has tour guides taking you down a lead mind
Absolutely the best, fantastic hosts, could not have wished for better. Super clean room and facilities. From USA but once lived in southern Scotland - a home from home. Read great reviews before booking and was not disappointed! Next time I visit the Lockerbie area I will come to Bishopcleugh and hopefully be able to spend more one night.

the host couldn't do enough for us. our bed on the first night was very uncomfortable, but he changed our room without question. Breakfast was cooked to order and was of a good size. He explained the renovations that were taking place in the hotel and welcomed us back whenever we wanted
The Townhead hotel is ideal for breaking the long trip back to England. The restaurant provides excellent food and service, don’t bother looking anywhere else in Lockerbie. We were very grateful that we were able to stay with our golden retriever. Thank you Stephen, Lee and your team.
Lovely quiet place to stay - a friendly welcome and a truly excellent breakfast. Suits me perfectly for a safe overnight stop. The nearest evening meals are in Lockerbie a mile down the road, but I usually bring a picnic, which the owners don't seem to mind.
The young staff were very competent and efficient, but quite strict! We were summoned to dinner (which was fine) and served quickly.
It felt like an old hotel that was being transformed into a good hotel in the eventual process of being excellent.
Gorgeous wee railway cottage. Very well equipped kitchen including tea, coffee, pint of milk in the fridge and basic foods in the cupboard - oil and rice. Games etc in the living room and a nice wee outdoor area as well.
Just loved this hotel, the staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was excellent. It is not a luxury hotel but it met every need we had and we thought the staff made it exceptional.
Small, comfortable hotel, with amazing veiws over the Scottish Country side, the staff were warm and welcoming and the food was excellent. The beds were comfy and the facilities were clean.
We had a pleasant and quite stay in Lockerbie. The sorrounding is ideal for bike trips (thanks for the supportive planning!) and the breakfast really good!
The hotel was clean, comfortable, and good value. The food was great, and the staff were fantastic- so helpful and attentive I’d definitely come again!
