A lovely quiet hotel, a little out of the way which was nice. The hotel were prepared for a small child and had amenities waiting (e.g. a high chair at breakfast). The food was good and cooked to order so it was always fresh and hot. The staff were kind and helpful.

ON a wet and windy day it was a joy to alight into such a tranquil location. To be greeted by such an enthusiastic bunch of people. Who took pleasure in ensuring your stay was everything you wanted it to be.

Great location, was a very much loved property and it was very welcoming. Host was welcoming and gave a lot of finishing touches to make you feel welcome, including fresh products on Arrival. Would remains the blue plant aquarium around 15 minute drive away. It’s in the middle of most places. We visited the farmers arms for a few drinks and was a nice quiet place and nice beer garden.

Kelsall is a beautiful village, but the hotel provided inadequate standard of food.
There was another hotel quite near and we ended up having our evening meal there for 2 evenings out of 3.
The hotel needs to do something about the poor cooking at the Royal Oak Hotel.
We recommend visiting the Anderson Boat Lift in Northwich. Had a wonderful time sailing down the river.

Here for Folk Festival.
Here for Folk Festival. Pretty village with good number of shops. Frequent buses going through the village. Couple of pubs and eating places, particularly "The Morris Dancer" in the centre of the village.
we had a one night stay at the royal oak for a wedding , we would have loved to stay longer .my husband and I travel a lot and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in a along time , the management and staff are outstanding, we also had friends staying at the hotel and we had dinner ,which was great food !!! the team accommodated all of us together at meal times , the rooms are very clean , The management should be proud of his team as they all worked very hard ,
thank you Ann and Ian
Everything about the Royal Oak exceeded expectations. The hotel appeared recently decorated and as well as having all the modern conveniences retains a traditional feel to it. Room was huge and well-appointed, warm and comfortable. All the staff were exceptionally pleasant and helpful throughout the stay. Great choice of dishes on the menu, ample parking.
This is our second visit - a different room, but just as good as last year. We recommended this hotel to two sets of friends, who also stayed this time and also liked it. Very comfortable, good food, friendly, good location. Plenty of parking. We're all planning to stay again the same weekend next year.
We stayed in a lovely spacious room with a big bathroom! Staff were also all very friendly. Unable to comment on much else as we stayed for 1 night after a wedding at Nunsmere Hall (10 mins away from hotel) and didn't get breakfast the next day. Easy to get to and there was more than enough parking!
