The staff were helpful and friendly. The room had everything I needed. The.complimentary breakfast was available at 5 am and much appreciated as was the affordable shuttle to the airport. There was a supermarket a short walk away. So different from the place near Heathrow where I stayed on the Friday night. That place was atrocious.

It was fine for a budget night in a place just to sleep.
The narrow lane access was full of deep potholes. There were no signs stating that there was convenient access to rooms from the car park level with suggestions possibly to register first up the flight of stairs (internally there are three flights of steep stairs down to the rooms. Signage would have been helpful).
There is nothing near the hotel but water and woods so a car trip down the narrow lane is necessary even for a newspaper.
The boutique hotel room was modern and clean with a comfortable bed. Unfortunately there were essential items missing, such as no waste bin in the bedroom, no shelf for toiletries/toothbrush in the bathroom and no grab rail for elderly occupants; in fact the situation was not good for anyone with vertigo or mobility issues.
We received family guests for dinner, one meal was unfortunately overcooked so much so that the basic fish and chips meal was refunded. This reflected badly on us as hosts and will not recommend it to others for such a visit.
Really convenient for the airport. Rooms are basic with old fashioned decor, but they're clean and comfortable so we were happy . Next to a main road but the windows are soundproofed so we weren't troubled by the noise. The free cereal bars and porridge pots were a nice touch. The main selling point is the Gurkha restaurant downstairs which is fantastic. Would definitely stay again if I needed an airport hotel.
Breakfast was provided in-room as porridge and cereal bars, which was fine. Lots of tea/coffee/milk in the room too. The room was a good size, and the bed was comfy.
The Woodcock Inn is now a Nepalese restaurant. I had a Katmandu chicken curry which was very good. The hotel reception is round the back, and there is lots of parking. Very convenient for Gatwick airport.
The Woodcock is located close to Cophall airport parking where we needed to park our car at 3-30 am on the Wednesday to leave for an EasyJet flight at 6-20am to Germany.
Rather than travel to Gatwick / Cophall airport long term parking, on the day of departure we opted to stay overnight, and have a more relaxed start to our holiday.
Absolutely everything.... And don't ask me about the amazing Gurkha restaurant. Everything about this hotel was just perfect. We we're going to a 3 day event at the Crowne Plaza but couldn't get rooms, so booked in here. Their loss, we've booked the same event for next year but will definitely be returning here to the Woodcock
We loved the view over the lake from the bar area. Evening or breakfast, rain or shine - just stunning to sit and look at! Staff were friendly and attentive, especially the younger members. Bed was super comfortable, the most comfortable we've had in a hotel, ever! Fantastic Matcha waffle for breakfast - once I discovered it!
very friendly welcome when arriving, Indian restaurant downstairs was fab and really tasty! good size room, snacks and coffees in room. we needed a quick room before a gatwick flight and we were more than happy! very good value for money!
The room was comfortable clean and had everything for a good night. The late check out was brilliant at no extra cost.
The porridge oats in the room were an absolute superb touch.
Thank you I will definitely use this hotel again!!!!
The room has a rustic and warming atmosphere, the bed was very comfortable. The staff were so accommodating and lovely throughout our time in the hotel and restaurant area. The food was delicious! would recommend!
Perfect for a night close to Gatwick. Simple rooms, nice touch of the porridge pots and cereal bars. They were very accommodating with the dinner, delicious Nepali food. Lovely owners and friendly staff.
Excellent food at this restaurant. We overnighted for our flight from Gatwick and it was ideal.Rooms a bit dated and small but not too bad .Would definitely use this amazing restaurant again .
Great for access to Gatwick Airport. 15 minute drive in the morning. Great food in the Nepalese restaurant which is part of the hotel. Best lamb curry I have ever had.
