My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing.
My trip was for work, so not much time for sightseeing. I noted that the racecourse is just a couple of minutes from where I was staying, and the Lakeside shopping centres a few minutes more in the opposite direction. I would have liked to visit the air museum but didnt have time

Great night life.
Great night life. Amazingly friendly atmosphere, The Ibetha of South Yorkshire.
A nice Market, plenty of shops. Good Taxi Service. Excellent Rail Connection. Love it!!
The Red Lion (Weatherspoons) in the Market Square is excellent !!
Breakfast was great and the lady who served us was brilliant. I had invited a friend to join me and couldn’t go in the main restaurant because I had my dog with me. But the service was second to none.
Also the lady on reception was fantastic. She was very friendly and couldn’t do enough for me. She even took my case to the room. I would definitely stay again if visiting Doncaster
There is a fabulous park at the back of the hotel. Great since I needed to walk my dog before returning to London
The Hilton Garden at Doncaster Racecourse exceeded my expectations. This was very much a good 4 star hotel. The inside was impressive, check in a breeze and the staff were excellent.
The rooms were light, airy and clean. The corridors also weren't the dark and depressing norm of most hotels which was appreciated. The bar was good with staff being very attentive. Breakfast was a good buffet style fare with hot and plentiful options.
The location of the Hotel is great on the main road between Doncaster and Bawtry, has ample car parking each room is soundproofed to a high standard and contains all the things that you need for your stay. The rooms are good size and have suitable shower area with toiletries supplied. In the hotel you have the advantage of the Toby Carvery for Lunches, Dinners and of course breakfasts if you need them.
Lovely quiet location off the main roads. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our host was SO great! We got in late and he escorted us across to the restaurant that’s affiliated with the hotel. They were closing up for the evening, but he put in a word for us so that we could get something to eat. He went out of his way to help us and it was SO appreciated!
Location was great, 10 min walk to city centre.
Hotel itself is lovely, I paid I think £63/£68 for a Saturday night, I did t think the price was bad at all!! And especially for the hotel!! It’s lovely. Room was a good size, nice shower, good facilities in the room (hair dryer, kettle, tv, a telephone!!)
The apartment was fantastic for what we needed it for. Brill location for visiting surrounding attractions. The area itself was fine for shops and food places ,We only needed a bed as we were out all the time.
Michel was amazing for helping with enquiries and providing info we needed.
We had breakfast at The Lodge which was very tasty with great poached eggs and friendly staff. The bedroom was large and very light and comfortable. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The ground floor rooms were very grand yet comfortable.
The Campanile Hotel Doncaster was situated at the end of a short drive and appreared to be quite secluded despite being near the centre of Doncaster. So ideal for parking my motorcycle. The room was basic but clean & tidy.
The room was very nice and clean and the bathroom was great! Lovely shower! The hotel was easy to find and the staff were helpful. And you could get breakfast easily and for a good price downstairs in the Wetherspoons.
Being a Mercure hotel, as usual it was clean and tidy.
The evening receptionist was so nice, we were a party of three and she split our booking so that our son had his own room at no extra charge.
Reception staff were helpful and polite and breakfast was very good. Although the hotel was slightly out of the town centre it had lots of ammenities near by and was easy to get to.
Ideally located for racecourse and 5min bus ride into town centre. Bus stop outside the hotel. The room was a good size and it was comfortable and warm. It was reasonably priced.
Hotel was clean and easy to find. the breakfast was nice with lots of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the last minute changes made to the booking.
This hotel is only 20 mins from Doncaster racecourse where we attend sales, it’s location is very rural, quiet and the pub/restaurant in the grounds serves great food
