We loved everything! The hotel itself is a gorgeous Cotswolds cosy welcoming place. Spotlessly clean throughout. Amazing Italian restaurant on-site. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. Simone on reception is an absolute delight and made us feel right at home the minute we walked in.

This is a gem of a stopover. In a beautiful village in wonderful countryside, this was a stopover on a 800 miles journey. The welcome was brilliant. Dinner exactly as we hoped followed by a great night’s sleep and superb breakfast. Fully refreshed for the next and longer stage of the long journey.

Plenty of attractions to visit and large variety of places...
Plenty of attractions to visit and large variety of places to eat. Wonderful local scenery and close to many other Cotswold towns. Free parking for 90 minutes is available in the centre of the town if you look for it. A lovely place to walk around with traditional old stone buildings.

A lovely historic town with some tourist attractions within walking distance. We spent a day exploring the town and visited the model village, the motor museum and Birdland. Food options are varied, good old English, Italian, fine dining and tapas. The village is beautiful with many old properties that are well maintained. Pubs are oldy worldly and very busy at weekends. Plenty of good coffee shops. Paid Parking is available at either end of the village if staying over 1 hour so no problem parking. Village parking is restricted. Absolutely stunning, beautiful place full of character. We visited slightly out of season so was not too busy. Smiths is an amazing restaurant, specialising in gourmet burgers, you will not be disappointed! Lots of other independent shops selling a range of crafts, antiques and much more.

This was our first visit to bourbon on the water . We absolute loved it . It’s very pretty with nice shops, cafes , shops restaurants and pubs We did a walk to stow on the wold . The visitor centre in bouton was really helpful. Highly recommended

The historic building has been recently and tastefully renovated so you get that historic feel, but with all the creature comforts. The rooms were very clean with ample coffee and teas and towels. The free breakfast was made to order and was absolutely delicious. Not usually I breakfast person but gobbled it down. The staff were all delightful. Cannot recommend highly enough!
