This is the 3rd time I have stayed in the hotel. We were given a very spacious room on the top floor which was perfect as we were travelling with our 2 dogs. I have always enjoyed staying here as it is very centrally located, the owner is very personable and helpful.

Great old center with lots of interesting sights, a decent number of shops and a couple of good restaurants. We went on a tour of the "Souterrains de Laon : Secrets sous la ville" which was great, with explanation by the tour guide in English + an audio guide in French, English and Dutch (all with "Adult" or "Child" option). Tickets and audio guides are available at the Tourist Office, at the Cathedral square.

What a lovely little town and such beautiful decorations in the streets as well as a night of music and fab street life (end of july) make sure you book ahead in a couple of restaurants uphill near the cathedral. Worth stopping and visiting when driving down from the uk towards Reims southward. A hidden little French jewel.

A charming authentic French medieval town which is going to be reborn culturally owing to the new mayor. The central street is a revelation of all the senses owing to a beautiful decor.
There still many closed houses though - one can guess that the town is not rich and many houses were abandoned.

A very interesting fortified city with wonderful view over the surrounding countryside and it's well worth taking the time to walk the 7km of ramparts. The cathedral should not be ignored either and is on a par with Reims and Bourges.

Wonderful medieval city with history center and outstanding cathedral. Somewhat hard to navigate the streets (not atypical) but easier after getting oriented. Good last stop on my trip with easy drive to Charles de Gaulle for flight home.

Laon has two parts to it, the old town and the new town.
Laon has two parts to it, the old town and the new town. We just visited the old town, which was just lovely. The cathedral is stunning on the outside but a bit plain on the inside. The detail on the outside was awesome, literally. So much detail to it and incredible at night time as it's lit up. Feels very gothic.
Lots of interesting shops in the town and, when we went, the street skylines had been decorated with balloons and lampshades. Might sound odd but it was beautiful. Plenty of restaurants to choose from. We stayed here for an overnight stop on the way and on the way back from the south of France. I feel you wouldn't need any more than one or two nights here, but was definitely worth the visit.
Situated in the historic centre of a very beautiful town. Easy walking distance to the main square, in which, and on the way to which, you I'll find a wide choice of restaurants, bars and cafes. Parking can be a bit of an issue, although I was lucky, and this is the centre of a town that, sometime in the nineth century, was France's capital so the streets weren't designed for modern cars. But if you're in the historic centre you just have to accept these things. I'd happily stay there again
This is the second time that I have stayed at Les Chevaliers. It is located very centrally in Laon, and there is public parking just around the corner.
The room was perfect for our needs, the ensuite bathroom had a new shower unit.
The manager/owner is very attentive, and provided an excellent breakfast. Laon is about 2 hrs drive from the tunnel and the hotel is an excellent stop off point in a very attractive medieval city.
We will definitely use this hotel again.
Utterly adorable hotel. Full of quirky, tasteful furniture and decorations. Everything reflects an empathic renovation of a very old house. Claire and Pierre are absolutely delightful hosts. Right in the heart of Laon, within a stone's throw of the cathedral and restaurants. However, very peaceful. Laon itself is also very charming.
Delicious breakfast.
We are definitely coming back.
Loved it.
The old town at Laon was not built for modern traffic, so parking at the hotel was essential. The location is excellent for exploring the historic old town, and there are good bars and restaurants nearby. We had booked half board which entailed an evening meal at the hotel. we met two English bikers over breakfast, who told us of an excellent alternative route back to the ferry port - the N57!
As a historical downtown, quiet Laon is a visit more than worth. Its cathedral is magnificent, its downtown has many old and beautiful houses, and its location on the top of a high hill overlooking the Champagne plains just wonderful. The B&B Les Hotes d'Eloise has a great location right behid the Cathedral and ideal for such a visit. Charming reception by our hosts as well!
I have been in this hotel several times. Very time again the staff at the reception (open 24/7) welcomes me very friendly and is very helpful. The rooms are large enough, bathroom very efficiently organized in order to have what you need on a small footprint. The room was clean as always. The breakfast was good and sufficient. Covid19 rules applied well.
The hotel has a superb central location in a historic coaching inn where no two doors have the same height. This obviously provides a more atmospheric experience than your average hotel chain. There is private parking available which is important as there is limited public parking nearby.
The Logis du Parvis is situated in the medieval city of Laon directly infront of the majestic cathedral. There are few hotel/bars/restaurants in Europe that can match such a stunning location in which to eat-drink. The cathedral is astounding & your eyes are always returning to it.
Location is great. Easy free parking nearby. A fascinating town to visit. I brought my E-Bike and did an 80 km circuit down to the Ailette river trail. The electric assistance was pretty useful for getting back up into Laon. Don't miss the Secret Underground tour. It's fascinating.
Laon is beautiful.
Superbly thought out. A small apartment, but very well laid out. Good size bathroom. Kitchinette well equipped with modern matching crockery. Decor extremely well considered, which showed that the owners cared. Bars and restaurants a 5 minute walk.
The central location and the quirky and unique hotel. I felt that I was the guest of honor at a friend's home. And the hosts Pierre and Claire were amiable and very graciously helped me resolve a problem concerning a reservation for the next day!
Well equipped, modern and clean apartment in a central location. Restaurants and the magnificent cathedral of Laon are just a short walk away. Charming little town and parking across the street is convenient. Good value for money!
The hotel was great and provides great value for money. We walked into the centre and got some sushi from a local restaurant which was nice. It was nice to support a town like laon. With it having a rich, misfortunate history.
Location was amazing. The hotel faces the incredible cathedral, whose facade is illuminated at night. Just a great experience, only surpassed by the incredible dinner attached to the hotel.
Really nice location in the old town, found free parking nearby. Room was basic but a good size with a comfortable bed. Quirky building with character.
