Attractive location and a good place to stay. We wanted to visit Bordeaux but didn’t want to stay in the city. Arcachon has a good regular service by train into the city and this suited us well.
You need to know that boat trips around the bay have to be booked in advance and will cancel your booking if there are too few passengers. We didn’t manage to get a successful booking.
Arcachon is a seafood paradise for those wanting oysters, crustaceans and fish. It’s also more expensive, we assumed because it’s a tourist haven.

The reception staff were very welcoming and helpful. We had booked dinner in a nearby hotel for a dinner and the staff organised a taxi for us to travel there. Otherwise, everything you needed is in a pleasant walking distance. I can't wait to return to Arachon

Arcachon is a clean and welcoming place with plenty to do and lots of lovely places to eat. There are many options for boat trips in the Bassin d’ Arcachon, which are well worth doing. There is an excellent, cheap bus service to access places further than walking distance and the station has regular trains.

Arcachon is a lovely French seaside town.
Arcachon is a lovely French seaside town. Lovely mix of architecture, great food and great shopping. Lots to do, swimming, walking, cycling, and boating. Great cycle out to the Dune de Pyla and the view from the top is fantastic! Lovely boat ride to Cap Ferret and again a lovely cycle to the lighthouse. Arcachon ticks all the boxes for a couples/ family holiday. No late bars or clubs so not for the younger ones.

We were warned that Arcachon is very touristy and although there were many there (mid June), it didn‘t come across that way. Nice beach and promontory with lots of cafes and restaurants. Shopping streets including covered market were also worth visiting. Park above the downtown was beautiful. We took a train to Bordeaux for a day (50 min) which worked out very well. The nearby Pilate dunes are worth visiting. A boat outing to Cap Ferret is also recommended. We liked Le Pitt for good oysters a bit away from the beach and with fair prices.
Really appreciated and enjoyed the surprise upgrade to "The Junior Suite" as we decided to stay a few days longer than had originally planned (we extended our stay since the people and area of Arcachon were so nice & good to us)! Somehow the cleaning staff was always able to clean & make our bed... around our non-predictable schedule and yet never be seen by us, just like magic.
Simple, but comfortable place in a great location, just a few minutes walk from the beach and the centre of Arcachone. Easy check in despite late evening (we got the code to the front door and the keys to the room were in the lock). Croissants and baguettes with jam + coffee and juice for breakfast, in a nice informal atmosphere. We could also rent bikes for free! I recommend.
A lovely hotel overlooking a part of Arcachon beach that is not too crowded. The swimming pool that overlooks the beach was very welcome in the heatwave we experienced. Very good breakfast provided in the dining room. The hotel was very well located for the short walk into the town. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Parking provided.
Great location in the centre of Arcachon, very close to beach and all the cafes / restaurants / ice cream places etc in the centre of town.
Nice room, plenty of space for us (though not huge rooms, however we had no trouble with three adults and three children, and our bikes in the room for safe-keeping!).
Everything was fabulous. The staff were friendly, the sauna was lovely, the apartment was clean, spacious, and well -equipped -- I wish that I could've stayed longer! I would definitely stay here again if ever in the area in the future.
the hotel is off the main drag in a very quiet quaint part of town close to the sea. GREAT coffee machines in the rooms and using all compostable recyclable packaging for their in room amenities.
Fabulous hotel. Beautiful rustic style that you only get in France. Rooms lovely. Staff very friendly and helpful. Arcachon in general a stunning place to visit. Would definitely recommend.
It is a modern, clean and comfortable hotel in a perfect location to explore Arcachon. The underground parking was absolutely necessary and available. The room has a balcony.
