This turned out to be an excellent choice in terms of location, value for money and service. Opposite the Alcazar at the top of Toledo's Old Town hill, it was about 10 minutes from the station where we arrived from Madrid. Excellent value by the way. Train was 13 Euros per person for 30 minute journey and it's advisable to book in advance (our friends didn't and had to take a taxi from Madrid). The staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and efficient and our 3 nights there were a joy. On Day 1 after a short walk to orient ourselves we found by accident the restaurant next door which is , in fact, part of the hotel. We had menu del dia there which was great value and good food. Breakfast daily was included in the large downstairs breakfast room with lots of choice. We enjoyed the maze of small streets in every direction and eventually found a quick route to the Cathedral (turn immediately left and left out of the hotel and down a long flight of stairs). Zocodover Square is a short walk straight down the hill from the hotel. Our room (517) was spacious and had a fine balcony which caught the afternoon sun daily. Our thanks to the hotel staff for all their help and booking the taxi to Madrid Airport for our 6.30 am departure.

This was an easy hotel to feel at home in. A welcoming smile from staff every time we passed the reception area was nice. The hotel is in the old town, quiet yet so close to the main sights.
We liked the breakfast experience which was gentle and calm - orders taken and food nicely presented. The coffee was very good too!

Great location. Comfortable bed. Room was small. We could not walk by the floor of our bed without turning sideways and this was a premium room! Small bathroom. Front desk overworked and always had to wait to ask a question.

Cathedral visit is essential, people were very friendly (except when driving), good eating including a few upscale gems, fun to get lost in winding streets, only to find you are a minute from where you started.

The city is beautiful.
The city is beautiful. The sites however aren't much to look at. The only two really worth it was the cathedral and the jesuit church. For example, the synagogue, you enter and you've seen it all. That was a recurrent theme in all our visits. You could see a site in two minutes. The Alcazar was closed except for the military museum part of it. Not much to see

Don't even think about driving into the old town. Park in one of the huge underground parking lots near the old town and walk or take a cab.

Toledo is a very busy town, but in keeping with its historic character, the streets are very narrow, cobbled, winding, and mostly very steep, except in the central squares. The high proportion of virtually silent electric vehicles, which drive very rapidly and agressively, means that you often find a vehicle on your heels, and you have to step into a doorway to make room for it to pass. It is not a town I would recommend to anyone with any mobility difficulties or sight impairment, as roads and pathways are often in poor repair and can easily cause falls. However, if you enjoy looking around medieval religious buildings there are many to choose from. We visited the Roman Baths, which was interesting, with very informative staff. A good map from the Tourist Information offices, or the hotel, is essential to keep your bearings.
We greatly enjoyed the Tourist Train (which seemed to be really good value compared with the Tourist Bus). We saw the key points in the town, and also were taken beyond the walls to look across the river from a distance.
The highlight of our time there was the day we decided to do a circuit of the town along the riverbank, with only the need for a short stretch on the roads. It was very beautiful, peaceful, and you could see the remains of many interesting buildings and bridges from a different perspective, alongside a range of wildlife and vegetation.

A trip to the past with a bit of everything, from cultural sites, to churches, to 200 years history, add shopping, great restaurants and amazing and iconic landmarks, a day is not enough! and is just a 1k diameter old town
This hotel totally exceeded our expectations. We stayed only one night but would have liked to stay longer. The view from our room was across to the old town of Toledo (lit up at night) and it was delightful. Room was spacious and comfortable and free parking was great. Checking in was friendly, efficient and quick and everything was spotlessly clean. We would like to visit Toledo again and this hotel would be our first choice even though it is a little way from the city centre.
What a fantastic family run hotel, I would 100% recommend this hotel. I stayed for 3 nights solo for a local wedding. Hotel is half way up the hill at the very edge of the old town, so benefits for great views and is away from noise and hustle of more central venues. I had one of the smaller rooms, but this was more than adequate. The manager/host was very warm and welcoming and is much the reason I rate the hotel so high. Should I ever return to Toledo I would certainly stay here.
It’s a family run Boutique hotel who are very kind and well mannered. Ready to help at all moments. The location is centrally located in one of the main squares of the old town . Transfer from Toledo train station is via a 15min walk. Since Toledo is all uphill there’s an escalator(see pic attached) which can be easily missed as it is situated within a public car park. This escalator takes you from the Puente de Alcantara up to the plaza de Zocodover.
Very large ground floor room with facilities for people with disabilities. Quiet inobtrusive air conditioning!
The standard of everything was very high and the cost was reasonable.
The hotel was very conveniently situated in the centre of Toledo and close to the El Greco museum/ synagogues.
The restaurant deserves a special mention. We ate there two nights and had excellent cuisine. Amongst the best we had in Spain.
The owner, Adil, was extremely helpful on arrival, including with our luggage and with parking the car. He even provided clothes washing liquid when he realised we wanted to use the washing machine. The view was one of a kind looking right at the old bridge crossing into old Toledo town. It truly was soundproof and safe. The decor was very tasteful and modern and the apartment lacked nothing.
The location was fantastic for exploring historic Toledo, and the hotel itself was quite charming. The staff was very helpful, accommodating our luggage storage before check-in. The rooftop patio was a highlight and had an incredible view of the cathedral and the city. The wifi was strong, and we enjoyed our breakfast (especially the coffee!) in the little breakfast room on-site.
Staff very attentive & personable. Very quite location. Great atmosphere. Only a 5 room boutique hotel so my husband & I felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We enjoyed the quite, relaxing rooms in caves below listening to the music of the this wonderful place!
This is a lovely small hotel in walking distance to everything in the historic centre of Toledo. Our room was so comfortable and the hotel has a wonderful ambience. The breakfast was just right for us plus the breakfast room has an incredible view of the cathedral.
The hotel exceeded every expectation we had. Beautiful setting inside the walls of Toledo, perfect location, friendly staff, great breakfast and great restaurant/bar. You do not even need to leave and look for different dining options in Toledo.
one of the best hotels in Spain (that I was a guest) near the cathedral, we stayed for one night, very comfortable, old house but seemed new in the same time. Great bathroom, lots of small details, we didn't had breakfast nor we used the spa.
The hotel is a hidden jam. It is a historic house that has been compliantly remodeled in o very cozy hotel. You get a good idea of how it felt to live in Toledo in old times. I would recommend the place to all architecture lovers.
The hotel is located not far from the city center, its best if you drive but you can also walk. The view from the hotel are great. The hotel location is also very beautiful. I enjoyed the hotel and its style
Good location when travelling by car to Toledo as this hotel is just outside of the old town of Toledo and parking is feasible at the hotel or nearby. Easy access to old town on about 10 min walking time.
The best hotel we have stayed at. The room was very spacious and clean. Located super close to the train station. Staff was really friendly and helpful. Toledo is a beautiful city.
Very good position. Amazing view of the Cathedral from the terrace. A stunning building with a very warm welcome from Mr Alfonso. I suppose is the best option in Toledo!
The location is perfect. The hotel is in the beginning of the old town and looks like a castle. The ambience is traditional for Toledo. The breakfast was good.
Beautiful hotel located in the center of Toledo.. The bed and the pillows were very comfortable, and the staff were very nice and always there to help us
