The location was okay, not far from a major parking lot and city center. The property is dog-friendly - they gave us a welcoming pack for our furry member of the family. That was nice.

Bellinzona is the quiet enjoyable city of the canton of Ticino. It is a lovely little town (in fact the capital of Ticino) but it is away from the touristic towns such as Lugano, Locarno and Ascona (and therefore the prices) but close enough to travel to be able to spend time in those places as well, yet to return to base in the evening.

Walking to the castle’s was great.
Walking to the castle’s was great. I also did the train in another occasion. Shopping especially on Saturday at the market is great. Unfortunately when I returned after 3 weeks everything was closed on Sunday and Monday (a catholic holiday!)
I liked Federale Croce for their great pizza’s and friendly staff

Bellinzona is located very centrally in Ticino in terms of public transport connaction to other places. We stayed there for 4 days in order to check different places in the region. But I would recommend to go for at least 5 days. Bellinzona itself is worth spending one day just walking through all the three castles. And then there are a lot of magnificent places around like Lugano and the mountains around, Verzasca, Ascona, Locarno etc.. Also there is a Tibetan bridge in Bellinzona which you have to make a small hike for and it's really worth it!

Laid back, welcoming town, surrounded by glorious mountains.
Laid back, welcoming town, surrounded by glorious mountains. Plenty of places to eat from expensive to moderate to cheap. Walking is easy and there are buses and taxis if you wish to go further afield. The Benedictine convent up the hill is well worth a visit together with the castle in the centre of town. After 9.00p.m. on a Friday night, all is quiet - everyone tucked up in bed?

Small, rather quiet town with a nice historical center and three UNESCO-listed castles. Not too touristy. Very convenient for train trips around all Ticino canton or even to Como or Milan region.
Got a Ticino Ticket at the hostel reception which allows you to use public transport in Ticino for free (except for boats).
This place is a SCAM! Thy took our money and never answer the phone when we arrived at 5:10 pm.
We called them to 2 different phone numbers about 10 times! We were standing under the rain… and had to take another hotel… thy took 300 Euros from us! They probably do this to everybody!!! A shame! They should close this place!!
It is difficult to compare this YH with others I have stayed in Switzerland ( eg Zermatt and St Moritz) I feel it could benefit from some tasteful modernisation but I appreciate that because of its age and heritage this would not be easy. I like it’s character which you often lose in the more purpose built modern hostels.
I liked the hotel’s proximity to the train station and to the area’s three castles. It is in the city center and central to many cultural, shopping and dining options. The restaurant in the hotel is also great! Also, I don’t speak Italian and was relieved to find they had someone on staff who spoke English.
Tge staff were not only friendly but also resourceful. I had forgotten to request a parking space but they reserved one for me in case it was needed, which it was. Breakfast was very good indeed. This was my second stay on route from London to Italy and will always be my hotel of choice on this see
Beautiful boutique hotel, located next to a quiet square with very little traffic though not far from the city centre, great food at dinner, amazing breakfast buffet (one of the best we’ve ever had), very polite staff, bike friendly.
The property is located centrally in Bellinzona, warm, comfortable with all the facilities you could need.
The host was accommodating and responded quickly to any requests that we had. Would recommend this property to others.
Stayed in Bellinzona for 6 days to meet some people, the apartment was ideal for this and the location was perfect. Everything you need is easily in walking distance and the apartment was new, clean and a high standard.
We slept at Casa Ines for only one night passing through Switzerland to Italy. For that purpose it was a very good stay, and the host was very friendly and helpful. We had a nice view over the valley of Bellinzona.
From our Balcony we can see Sasso Corbano & Motenello, and the big Sunday Parade for Rabadan Carnival also very good.
The very big Wellness with the Sauna for every Hotel guests.
The breakfast were amazing.
The location was superb being in the center of Bellinzona, just a bit pricey for a family. But we were going for a long trip, so we needed a good place to rest with the kids before it.
The area is perfect for anyone traveling on Holidays by Train. Very close to Bellinzona Main Station. The staffs are kind and helpful. The apartment looks old but very clean and tidy.
Very good 3 star hotel, excellent location and very clean.
Very good breakfast buffet. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
We would be happy to stay at this hotel again.
