Service by both reception and cleaning staff was excellent and to be commended. They were all very helpful and welcoming. Breakfast was good and extensive. I found the room perfectly reasonable and clean.

Turnhout is a small market town, some nice shops and a few restaurants of note. Due to a short time there I didn't see much but it was nice to walk around. We ate at one of the restaurants on the main Square which was reasonable and pleasant. I ate and had a few drinks in the Eidelwiess by the station which was welcoming and the food good.

Turnhout is not the most obvious place to visit in Belgium, but it still has a lot offer: a UNESCO World Heritage Beguinage, a beautiful castle, some interesting museums and an extremely pleasant atmosphere. It's not up there with some of the finest places in Belgium such as Bruges, Antwerp, Ghent, Mechelen etc but a very pleasant place nevertheless. I loved it.

I was born in Turnhout, so am a bit biassed. Would recommend the Duke of Brabant Castle, the Begijnhof and St Pieter's church plus the Ranonkle Café (Begijne Straat) for its beer and boozy crowd and the much quieter Spijtighen Duvel (Otter Straat) in an 18th century building and choice of 300+ beers.

was in Turnhout for a wedding party.
was in Turnhout for a wedding party. I am living in Prague (CZ) and the first thing I am doing when coming back to Belgium: I am looking for a real "Frietekot". Hotel was perfect and I was walking to the city center in max 20 minutes. I found my "frietekot" on the nice marketplace. What i was a little surprised on was the mentality (behavior) of young peoples. Times are changing, I know. I felt some parts of my walk UN-SAFE.

Nice clean city, the people are helpful and extremely friendly. Apart from Best Western Plus hotel we ate at Reggae Geel. Easy to travel around Turnhout as the fare is 3 Euros and you don’t pay again for an hour no matter how many buses or trans you travel on. We enjoyed the shopping and were sad to leave
Have stayed at this hotel a few times now. Unfortunately one of the two lifts did not work on our visit. Previously there was a toaster available for breakfast, need to bring this back. Breakfast, in my opinion, is expensive for what you get. However, on our first morning the receptionists went out of their way to provide two bags of breakfast items, even though it was our fault for not noticing that breakfast finished earlier in the week. Need to bring back vending machine.
Fabulous B&B, with a cozy room, comfortable beds and everything spotless clean. The room has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Close to Turnhout centrum but far enough from the traffic, with a view on the garden, the room offers a night of relaxation. Our host was kind enough to prepare us breakfast, being very considerate for our request of having vegan options for breakfast. Excellent costumer service, we felt spoiled during our stay at B&B Veado.
We booked this B&B because of the location a it was close to the customer site that we needed to visit the following day. The host was very welcoming and helpful. It definitely had the personal touch that you don't get in a hotel.
The room was very spacious, modern and clean.
Superb. Amazing place and location. Very friendly and helpful with all our requests and parking was simple. Everything about the place and room was faultless. Highly recommended to all visitors to Turnhout and the surrounding areas.
Very good location, we did not take any breakfast as we had a brunch programmed,we came for a wedding and so spent most of our time out of Turnhout.
We only regret we hardly had time to meet our hostess who seemed vers nice.
Everything was amazing! The breakfast was better than a hotel's and had everything!
The garden was amazing and the shower sooo beautiful. Even the organisation of the drawers and cupboards was eye pleasuring!
Amazing breakfast and employee's.
The cleaning was excellent and better than many 5 stars hotels!
Modern and classic hotel, very surprised by it and definitely one of my best experiences with hotels.
The staff are very friendly and professional and the food is to the best standard. The whole place is decorated to the highest standard and it reminds me of a boutique hotel.
Chris went out of his way to assist with our needs. Breakfast was a wonderful spread, even customized! Very centrally located in Turnhout. Highly recommend this B&B.
