Besides the property being absolutely serene and beautiful, the owner was so helpful and responsive. Was such a joy to spend time with him. Helped us with directions and sites to see. Upon arriving at this guest house one would wonder where they are. It seems to be in the middle of nowhere but that is exactly the charm of it. We were immeditaely very warmly greeted by Carlos and taken to a lovely room which was immaculate. A bottle of local wine was waiting for us. We were asked if we would like dinner and were then give a few choices. We were there off season and were the only guests in the restaurant so dinner was prepared especially for us and it was fabulous!!! Made with so much love. The same for breakfast. Our table was laid out with so many nice choices and again, just for us. The dinning area is so quaint. Really quite special. After having been surrounded by ship tourists this place was exactly what we were seeking. If you are looking for some peace and quiet and a piece of authentic countryside this is the perfect place.

Located within 600 metres of Manteigas Hot Springs, SerraVale in Manteigas offers a garden, as well as free WiFi. Among the various facilities of the rustic property are a shared lounge and a bar. Easy to find, close to supermarket, solid construction, nice garden, place for parking, clean room, hot water, wi-fi, fantastic breakfast… Everything! Words are not enough to describe Elsa’s hospitality and care. It’s 12 of 10! Will definitely stay at SerraVale again.
