The photos simply cannot capture the timeless charm or quality of detail of the cottage or the magnificence of the entire property. The place was spotlessly clean and fresh. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, kitchen facilities generous and water pressure/heat excellent. Check-in and entry via rental car was easy and the owner, Filipe, made us feel very welcome. The location was the ultimate "close yet far away" lodging experience we crave.

Disse hytter er perfekte til gæster, der ønsker at opleve livet på landet på Madeira. De ligger gemt væk på en privat ejendom nær Camacha, en landsby nær Funchal. Dejlig beliggenhed i fred og ro, men alligevel kun 20 minutter væk fra Funchal i bil. Meget idyllisk med kaniner og påfugle i haven.

The host is super kind and generous - he gave us excellent tips on what to do in the region and where to eat (both restaurant recommendations were epic!), welcomed us in person although we arrived around midnight, had a friendly chat with us and gave us fruit and vegetables from his garden. The location of the property was perfect for our needs (relatively close to the airport and some points of interest), there’s a miradouro perfect to watch the sunset 5min away from the property. Sunrise is seen from the balcony - amazing! The property itself has everything one may need for a comfortable stay, including washing and cooking facilities, a coffee machine, etc.

Local family running Restaurant/bakery on the other side of the street.
