"Alqueiturismo - Casas de Campo" is the typical countryside accommodation with lots to offer: pool, barbecue, farm animals, bikes, canoes. Also, since it's close to the hills, it's quite easy to go for a hike and be in communion with the nature. It's relatively close to "Passadiços do Mondego" which are an amazing experience. The staff was extremely nice and helpful.

Boasting mountain views, Lago Azul Villas features accommodation with balcony, around 24 km from Capela de Nossa Senhora da Conceicao. Jaime is a wonderful host and welcomed us upon arrival. He recommended a good restaurant 10 minutes away and was available if we had any concerns which we did not. Probably most fun during the summer season. View was spectacular. We had a lovely outdoor seating area and a very spacious room.

Featuring an infinity pool and views of pool, TheVagar Countryhouse is a recently renovated country house located in Belmonte, 42 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela. Marta is such a friendly and genuine soul; I want her to be my sister! If you are able to stay at TheVagar, then consider yourself one of the lucky ones. Once the secret is out, this place will be packed year round. Thank you Marta and all your staff for an unforgettable experience!

Very comfortable bed and bed linen. Lovely breakfast. Fabulous staff. Easy check-in. Great place to sit outside.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Quinta Chão da Bispa is set in Oliveira do Hospital. It was awesome and perfect i could not have imagined anything more good. Privacy, cleanliness, huge space, its very beautiful, everything was outstanding and the most amazing host. The host was so humble polite and cooperative. I will highly recommend this place and will surely visit again.

The house was well equipped and very comfortable. The host was super, sharing his knowledge about the area. The breakfasts were great.

Offering river views, Casa das Raposas is an accommodation located in Zambujal, 24 km from Portugal dos Pequenitos and 24 km from Coimbra-A Train Station. The quiet, the location was just the right distance from my last stop, the friendly dogs and the help provided to find my missing backpack cover at the last rest stop. As well as taking me there and back to a local restaurant for dinner.

Offering a garden and garden view, Solar da Castanha - Forest House is set in Manteigas, 21 km from Parque Natural Serra da Estrela and 4.5 km from Manteigas Hot Springs. The location was absolutely beautiful. A perfect base to explore the mountains and walk the marked hiking trails in the area. The host, Pedro, was very communicative prior to check in and when we arrived he spent a lot of time explaining where we could go/ what we could do. His parents who were hosting throughout our stay were so lovely and couldn’t do any more for us. They made the experience extremely relaxing and memorable. Particularly loved the view for breakfast, the hammock in the evening and the friendly cat :) I would recommend this stay to anyone looking to relax, unwind, and do some hiking.
