My first view of Foyers Bay Country Guest House was a happy one. Perched on a hill surrounded by gardens and forest, this majestic, old, stone mansion was built in 1896. My beautiful, immaculately-clean room, with its, oh-so-comfortable bed, had a large balcony that overlooked the gardens, forest and Loch Ness. If you like quiet, like you’ve never heard it before, breathtaking forest and beach walks, free-roaming roosters calling each other in the afternoon to wander off into the woods together, red squirrels and pretty songbirds at the feeders, butterflies and bees in the bushes, inquisitive cats coming in and out to stay informed of what you’re up to, and old-style open windows that let in the freshest country air, then Foyers Country Guest House is right for you as it was for me! The pleasant, gracious, hard-working owners, Elly and Chris, kept me well-fed with freshly-prepared-to-order food and pampered with wonderful service, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable … gracious hosts in every way.

A 26 km de Castelo de Urquhart, The Lovat, Loch Ness apresenta acomodações, restaurante, um jardim, um terraço e um bar. Very cute and cozy place. The staff was great. We got in late and were greeted with hot toddies. The place was walking distance to town.
