Located in a small village, 20 miles from Inverness, the Foyers Bay Country House is set in private grounds and has stunning views over Loch Ness. My first view of Foyers Bay Country Guest House was a happy one. Perched on a hill surrounded by gardens and forest, this majestic, old, stone mansion was built in 1896. My beautiful, immaculately-clean room, with its, oh-so-comfortable bed, had a large balcony that overlooked the gardens, forest and Loch Ness. If you like quiet, like you’ve never heard it before, breathtaking forest and beach walks, free-roaming roosters calling each other in the afternoon to wander off into the woods together, red squirrels and pretty songbirds at the feeders, butterflies and bees in the bushes, inquisitive cats coming in and out to stay informed of what you’re up to, and old-style open windows that let in the freshest country air, then Foyers Country Guest House is right for you as it was for me! The pleasant, gracious, hard-working owners, Elly and Chris, kept me well-fed with freshly-prepared-to-order food and pampered with wonderful service, making my stay comfortable and enjoyable … gracious hosts in every way.

The Lovat, Loch Ness is a 4-star property situated in Fort Augustus. This country house features free private parking and a lift. Very cute and cozy place. The staff was great. We got in late and were greeted with hot toddies. The place was walking distance to town.
