It is a stop off spot to go to Phong Na and other points, but the city is very charming, not very touristy. We loved it - go to the street market, the tree hugger cafe and seafood stands on the beach.

Dong Hoi has some beautiful beaches by the resorts, but there really isn't much else going on. There seemed to be 1-2 streets where you could shop or buy things, and there was no nightlife. Caves are really a great attraction to visit in Vietnam! In addition to the caves and nature, we enjoyed the river view and walking along the river. We visited the other side of the river where the locals live in small picturesque houses.

Best Cave Tour Ever !! Must Must try and stay in front of Beach Hotel. PHONG NAH Cave is the #1. then Dark Cave. then Paradise Cave. Can't do 3 caves in 1 day. only 2 cave tour possible. So do it all in 2 days for all 3 caves.

The hotel is very close to the beach with interesting seafood restaurants, as well as the center with pedestrian streets and lovely cafes. The staff was very kind and enthusiastic. The breakfast was delicious, with good variety. Our room was clean and comfortable. Good Wi-Fi. I'd recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dong Hoi City. Great value for the price, even better than in some resorts.

Dong Hoi is a fantastic place with loads to explore and it's not yet nearly as touristy as many towns. The hotel was great - we arrived early and they let us check in (without an extra charge) and were extremely helpful. The manager even took my husband on her moped to help him find a bag he needed to buy to save him getting a Grab. Would highly recommend and hope to return one day!

The chamber was clean, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The pool was a great spot to relax after a hot day of tourism, and the efficient AC made the room very comfortable. Moreover, I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived several hours before check-in unannounced, and the staff graciously accommodated us by providing a room early.

We had great directions on where to eat. She organized our expedition to the caves. Finally she made sure we had our taxi for 5am the next day to the train station. If we were to come back to Dong Hoi one day, there will obviously still be this warm house where we will go 😊. Thank you Hoai.
