The city of Truckee is very charming. You have the old Truckee down town, with restaurants, museums and all kinds of store to buy souvenirs and merchandise. Then you have the new Truckee down town that have grocery stores, banks, pet hospitals and more restaurants. The bike path along the river is vantastic, you can ride a long distance or short distance. Beautiful pine trees with the river running thru it. Alpine bliss.

We loved Truckee much more than the busy areas around Lake Tahoe. Truckee is a charming little village. We had really good brunch in town followed by quite an amazing hike around the Donner Summit and the Mount Judah Loop trail. Absolutely loved the Donner lake and all the little rivers and mountains around town.

If you want to get away from the city, but you aren't sure you want the touristy crowds of Lake Tahoe, then come to Truckee and Donner Lake. A great downtown area with restaurants and shops, but not overdone. Endless hiking trails and running streams/rivers everywhere (this was early June). I will be headed back to Truckee every year to breathe and relax and watch both the sunsets and the stars.

Very understaffed no one at the front desk for most of the time we were there. We arrive for breakfast at 9 AM and they said eggs would be done in a few minutes, we waited 20 no eggs were ever made we had very little food for breakfast and they were screaming kids everywhere. There were crumbs and rainbow sprinkles all over the floor and the place was dirty. Sadly I can’t say I would ever recommend this to anyone anyone because there are simply not enough staff to accommodate all of the gas that showed up and paid for a service that they did not get.

We go to Truckee usually a couple of times a year and really enjoy the small town feel. The shops are of good quality clothes and home decor. We have had great times shopping there and look forward to finding cool items. There are several cafes, bars/restaurants, and cantinas to choose from within a 4 block stretch as well.
Location is great. Beds were comfy. Pool and hot tub were excellent! An easy walk to some good restaurants (5050 Brewing Company, a Thai place) and the bike trail. Close to both Truckee and Lake Tahoe by car, and the TART bus stop. The welcome cookie was a nice treat after a long day on the road. Hotel has a library with lots of fun books to borrow, lovely landscaping, and a great pool/hot tub area. The area smelled lovely, like vanilla pines, and the bear decor was charming.
Brand new and very modern hotel. The room was large with a comfortable seating area (desk, sofa and chair). The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was large and immaculately clean. A full breakfast in the morning was delicious. Check-in was super quick and staff were friendly. Air conditioner worked well. You won't be disappointed at this hotel.
Mobility accessible room as requested, Well appointed and very comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was exceptional, and served by very friendly staff . Only negative was no decaf coffee option on the beverage machine. Price was reasonable for the area and good value for the money.
Great location from ski resorts like Boreal mountain and Tahoe Donner. 5 minutes driving from Truckee Downtowns where you can find a lot of nice restaurants.
The sofa-bed is not very comfortable, but good enough to sleep there a couple of nights.
The bathrooms are old but clean.
very clean, staffs are nice, breakfast is okay, gym is nice, location is very convenient, very close to so many ski parks and snow parks, kings beach( 15 minutes drive), downtown truckee (2 minutes drive), Northstar (7 minutes drive)
We really liked staying at this hotel. It was clean, the breakfast was good beds were comfortable, good size room,we enjoyed the spa ,good location to visit Lake Tahoe, only 20 min drive to Tahoe City.We recommend this place to anyone!
This was very large and beautiful 3 story cabin on a big plot of land in a secluded area, which can easily sleep 9 guests. The cabin is a short 10 minute drive to Truckee and Lake Donner and a 30 minute drive to Lake Tahoe.
Spacious, pretty house. I liked the VHS collection, very nice touch. Beds are great, and the place is huge. Nice area too, you have sauna and pool just a few steps away. Recommended.
Great staff, excellent quality and condition of rooms and property. Location is perfect for access to recreation downtown Truckee and restaurants. Love it!
