The Olde Judge Mansion is a quirky, idiosyncratic, very comfortable and welcoming venue. I was staying for one night on a multiday cycling trip on the Empire State Trail from NYC to Montreal. Tina could not have been a more welcoming host. She made me feel very comfortable, pointed out everything I might need or want to do, showed me my room and explained the protocols really well. Each of the rooms are unique as far as I can tell, and the halls are filled with books, games, dvds and local information. Snacks and drinks are available all the time, and guests who buy food from takeaways can eat them at the dining room table. Tina told me all about the history of the house and what she has done to it. It is still in many ways a work in progress. The bed was really comfortable and I slept like a log. The shower and bath were lovely and the towels fluffy. The breakfast was fantastic! It really set me up for the day’s cycling.

Customer service was excellent. AJ is an asset to your team. He was prompt, courteous, very knowledgeable, and handled himself well even when some patrons were rude and unpleasant. Our room was clean, comfortable, and met our needs. I should also mention that there were some teens running around making noise until management got involved. Before we could report the noise, AJ was already handling the situation. It was a blessing to have him working during our stay. Keep up the excellent work!

Beautiful property, very big room, huge and comfy beds. Good breakfast too.
The hotel is very close to Rensselaer! Hot breakfast was great and the staff is very attentive. Make sure you check the beds for stains and be prepared to make your own bed if needed as there is no housekeeping at night.

Unfortunately our stay at Olde Judge Mansion did NOT allow us any sleep so it tainted our visit tremendously. We came for the Waterford Tugboat Roundup and that has been a great event in the past. D/T very bad accomodations at the B&B we couldn't stay for the evening events. We loved what we saw of the show. We also went to a bakery in Latham called Bella Napoli and it was fantastic with great prices and even better selections!

Only an overnight stay to tour Rensaleer Polytechnic.
Only an overnight stay to tour Rensaleer Polytechnic. If we had toured during Fall or Spring we definitely would have made it a full weekend. Downtown looks very charming. We did eat at Slidin' Dirty & it was excellent. Would highly recommend checking it out

Really loved being able to walk to so many great restaurants, bars, & breweries. Dinasaur BBQ has amazing food right on the waterfront & there was a "Rockin on The River" concert outdoors as well. Lo Porto Ristaurante has amazing Italian cuisine & great wine selection as well.
The house is a treasure: for its history and Tina, the host - a skilled story teller. Her long experience with running a Bed and Breakfast shows as she is acutely aware of each and everyone needs. The Olde Judge Mansion represents the golden age of the Bed and Breakfast concept. You will meet people from all walk of life and enjoy a wonderful breakfast in their company or on your own. If you are looking for a colorful stay in an old part of Troy at a walking distance from the riverfront, this is it!
This place was absolutely fantastic. When we entered we were absolutely mystified in the best way. We spent a couple of hours just lingering around the first floor, enjoying the open spaces available to guests. The location is ideal because it’s 10 minutes from Albany, barely an hour from some hiking locations, and it’s super cheap. Next time we pass through, we are definitely finding an excuse to stay here again (this time a larger room!). The host Tina is charming and helpful, and super genuine.
The beds in this hotel are so pillowy and comfortable that I barely wanted to get out of bed let alone check out. The hotel is right on the river (although we didn't have a river view--we still had a good view with some public street art) and there is plenty of parking available. Breakfast isn't included and the options aren't great but it's close to other food options if you don't want them. The staff was very friendly and there were great facilities on site (gym, etc.).
Breakfast was great. The Hotel staff was very helpful. We came to enjoy the National Orchestra of Ukraine at the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall, which is only 5 blocks away. Little did we know that the full orchestra was staying there, and we had breakfast with the First Violin, and the Maestro! We will be back and recommend this Hotel to anyone who is travelling to Troy.
Good location near downtown center of Troy. Very clean. Breakfast was standard bland hotel food, but warm and a lot of variety and options whatever your food needs (veg. Etc…) I didn’t interact with the staff a lot- but when I did they were polite and friendly.
Tina was a great host, he has a wonderful house with all the original millwork, patterned plaster walls and more. The bed was very comfortable compared to the rock-hard slabs at most places. If I find myself in Troy, we will most definitely stay again.
Easy to find, this brand-new property was a pleasant surprise, and an asset to the Courtyard by Marriott brand. Super clean, quiet, and staff was friendly. I arrived at night, so didn't get to enjoy the view of the river until the next morning.
Stayed in this hotel for two nights, it's located very near Troy center (which is not a big city). Breakfast was ok, with some hot food selection, but the variety wasn't big. It's typical 3 star hotel nothing much to comment.
A quiet and comfortable B&B located minutes from downtown Troy. The owner whipped up a fantastic breakfast, served on the patio. A nice alternative to the usual business accommodations.
