The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable.

The staff is excellent. Room was charming and comfortable. Well, maintained. The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had. They had tamales! The salsa was fresh and tasty. Cookies chips and salsa in the afternoon in the lobby. On site laundry. Taos is easy to get around and they have an excellent public library.

Taos is currently working on their Plaza.

Taos is currently working on their Plaza. I’m looking forward to that project being completed. Around the Plaza the Gorge and the Alley Cantina are both great places to eat and drink. The trip to Rancho de Taos is mandatory. Not only for the beautiful church but for the restaurant in the plaza behind the church. The Ranchos Plaza Grill is fantastic!! Their hours are kinda weird so check before going.

I like Taos. The people are friendly and there are plenty of food options. The area is beautiful, there are views of the mountains and great sunsets. I love the architecture too. Adobe homes are so attractive and practical.

Slightly too touristy for my liking, but with some lovely walks when you drive to them; well worth to go to the Rio GRande gorge walks and also see the bridge and walk across it; Taos pueblo is always worth a visit and to do a tour there; this time we did the enchanted circle drive, very stunnng scenery. Taos centre is ok for a coffee, but I would avoid it mainly

This was my second visit to this wonderful city, my first was 27 years ago! Last time we went rafting and horseback riding up on the ski slopes, breathtaking. This time we went Hot Air ballooning and it was spectacular and magical. I am a shopper so if you like to shop you've come to the right place. Tons of wonderful shops and galleries. Restaurants were excellent. I had done my research and booked everything in advance. Tons of great places for coffee and a lovely ice cream shop. Several things that were different from last time, Taos now has warmer nights in the summer, no need for fleece at night. Hiking boots really aren't necessary to walk around Taos Plaza. We dined outside once or twice and we were in sleeveless tops with sandals, would have been too cold to do this years ago. This is a lovely town and perfect for a weekend getaway. Oh the drive between Taos and Santa Fe is worth it, just for the breathtaking views.

Friendly/helpful desk clerk or mgr, located not too many miles outside of old town Taos, Strong Shower Head flow, decent/avg. basic breakfast options. Given generally somewhat higher than necessary hotel prices in Taos, price per night here was (while still over-priced), on the lower end of spectrum. Liked the preferred 2 seperate beds option, since i toss & turn & my wife (weighing more than i, would pull me towards her not away from 2nd 'body-heat'). Hotel as expected was easy to locate on way into Taos.

This was the best hotel stay we have had in many years. We had a large King room with a wood-burning fireplace for a very reasonable cost. The breakfast was absolutely the best we have ever had - tamales, burritos, eggs, sausage, and too many other things to mention. Free cookies, salsa, and chips in the afternoons. Free coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day. Close to the Taos downtown plaza and shops.

The close proximity (Across the street) to the Taos Plaza! The room, the hospitality and the owner (Paco) were fabulous. The historical significance of the Inn itself, gave us much information to our family’s cultural ties and exact location, now in New Mexico. Many festivities and magnificent shops! (Check out the lobby, with one of the oldest wells in Taos still on site!)

The property is absolutely amazing for a getaway. . While still being close to the Taos Plaza the hotel seems secluded and surrounded by nature. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. If available, I recommend getting a room with a fireplace as it adds to the ambiance at night. The daily breakfast is superb and sunsets are incredible.

Quiet. Clean room; we got a remodeled room. Older property in downtown Taos but they’re making efforts to remodel property. Main drag under construction at this time so traffic leaves a lot to to look forward to. Winter should be nothing to attract one to this area this ski season.

The hotel could be interesting, if it were clean and maintained properly and you could attract a little better clientele. When you do maintenance on the rooms, put in good shower heads and don't just slop on the tile grout to fill large spaces missing tiles.

The hot cooked breakfast was delicious and fresh. The Taos Suite provided the two of us privacy--with one of us sleeping in the living area and the other in the bedroom. The location adjacent to the Love Apple restaurant was perfect!
