This was our second time staying at Hanscom’s and we LOVE it!! It’s super dog friendly, cozy, and has everything you need for a relaxing trip! If you stay here, make sure to take advantage of the grill, cornhole, propane fire and regular fire pit that has fire starters, wood and paper to make starting your fire super easy! We plan to make it an annual trip because we love it so much!

Everything (room and exterior) was in great condition. Room smelled real fresh (not air-freshener fresh). Linens were crisp and clean, and bed very comfy. Towels were soft and kitchenette had everything you needed for a quick meal.
Owners are very friendly and accommodating.

Although a few miles away from Bar Harbor, we were pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness and level of comfort at this out of town motel. Room prices in Bar Harbor, for even basic accommodation, can get ludicrously expensive, but Gallagher's Travels pricing offered way more value than most in town.

Deluxe king room was exactly what was advertised - with sitting areas, huge bed, fridge, microwave and separate space for clothes / luggage. Outside decked sitting area very pleasant. Complimentary tea / coffee with biscuits in Lobby area - very welcoming. Outside appearance does not do this property justice - very pleasantly surprised when we got to our room.

Check in was quick and easy, friendly staff. Our room was small (dated 1950's style rooms) but clean & adequate for our needs. Although we were on the main access road, did not notice traffic noise. Beautiful property - went walking down to the rear forested areas and saw deer. Firepit was a nice social hub and the caretaker was a happy friendly guy very easy to chat with. Breakfast was basic (pre-packed grab & go, continental) but satisfactory. Bed was comfy.
