Such a cozy spot! I wish we could have stayed longer. Hopefully, we'll return in the summer to enjoy hiking during the day and spending evenings in the amazing library. Thank you for fresh breakfast croissants.
Weird weather made snowmaking unavailable. Snow was slushy and non-existent on some cutoffs. I realize there is nothing you can do about the weather. The reason for the low marks was the lodging we booked. Rooms were not clean and there was no resemblance of the actual rooms to the site pictures.

Snowshoe is my favorite ski resort on the east side of the lower US.
It is bigger that most, higher altitude, has decent night skiing and if you get there after a bunch of snow, it is really fun. The little restaurants and bars on and off the slopes make it even nicer.

The locals understand there is limited cellphone coverage in Snowshoe but the resort must assume everyone has been here before since the signs are simply horrible. There are signs that say Snowshoe Village is X miles away but no signs saying where the Village is. I went through Snowshoe twice and could not find where the Village was. I have Verizon so I did not have benefit of GPS so we decided to eat somewhere else since the restaurant we wanted to go to was in the "Village". We ended up eating at Old Spruce Brewery since it was visible from the road. We are not skiers so we will probably bypass Snowshoe next time since it is so hard to find places to eat or shop. We came to ride the Cass Railroad.

Inn:
The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Room was very comfortable and had everything we needed.
Travel:
Roads were a bit daunting for us flatlanders, but to be expected on a mountainside.
Other:
Due to the time of year, there were fewer attractions available and other than the Inn and the restaurant the front desk crew recommended, we found the quality of service and food somewhat lacking.
The train tour we took was incredible and, between the Inn and the trains, we will be back.

Do your research and on-line faqs because staff does NOT offer information. They assume you know already. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH BOOKING,COM ... they are not accomodating either nor do they answer all your questions.

Location drivable even in snow storm.
Location drivable even in snow storm. The roads from the expressway all the way to the condo were plowed and gravel down. We were worried about getting out safely in a 12 person van but all went well. Much better than Carolina mountains. The Snowshoe people keep everything going and are very friendly and helpful. We’ve been going for 3 years and haven’t had a bad experience with our rental, the slope workers, equipment, ski instructors, bus drivers, or restaurants. It’s not as price friendly as the beach, but completely different experience.
So I don't do reviews. But this unit was very nice and we enjoyed our stay so much I had to do it. We stayed in snowshoe many times this Unit 239 was the best by far and worth the extra we paid for it. nice floors and great decor great view. Great instructions very easy to get into unit. Loved the fire place. Location can't beat it. Kitchen was well equipped, wish I had brought some groceries for breakfast. Everything was well stocked for cleaning in the middle of our stay.
Location was perfect! You could walk to the village close by and immediately get to the slopes. The shuttle stop also wasn’t far if you wanted to explore other areas of the mountain. Also deer visit you in the backyard and the host even had a corn feeder for them! Also having each room adjust their own temperature for sleeping was a great bonus!
We arrived late in the evening, there was no need for any registration, using the code we entered the room. Two coffee machines, coffee, spices, a lot of dishes, a lot of blankets, a sauna and a swimming pool on the territory of the hotel, free buses to the village to the lifts, and a stop right at the hotel
Our room was clean and comfortable. Coffee available in the morning was delightful. Amenities in the room (refrigerator and microwave) were useful. The mountain location offered great views, but the visit was primarily for a family gathering, which made it the perfect spot.
Food was just ok and Al Dente was unexpectedly closed when the Snowshoe app said it was open. Of all the meals I ate there, the breakfast was the best with good food and no crowds.
The Inn was very nice and clean. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub was awesome. we got a pass for a lot of activities on the mountain as part of our stay.
Hotel seemed older but it was fine for a couple nights. Clean and at the foot of the mountain. Great place to stay if you are at Snowshoe to golf "the Raven".
