Grew up in Sibley 1968 to 1975. Very safe town.

Grew up in Sibley 1968 to 1975. Very safe town. Kinda quite these days. The Golf course was in excellent shape from what I saw even though I didn't golf. The movie theater has two screens now. One thing I can't believe is that Sibley still doesn't have a place for a sit down breakfast like the old Cafe on Main Street. Miss those days.

Things were not as they used to be pre-pandemic.

Things were not as they used to be pre-pandemic. Everyone could use a little grace, patience and help, and that includes the hospitality industry. Very limited breakfast options, pool was not operational due to a pH issue for the first half of our stay, room cleanliness was sub-par. Our room was not clean and we needed our linens changed, so we called to ask for new linens. Since there was only one staff person at night and he was also running the front desk, we offered to change our own bedding and did. Without asking or making a fuss about this, we noticed the $25 housekeeping charge was taken off of our bill. Thank you. Again…we are all so used to a certain standard. More than ever, all over, people will need to practice patience and give grace to others or they will be in for a lot of misery, complaining, and dissatisfaction. Who wants that? Sibley AmericInn, thanks for the stay and your efforts despite the short staff and hard economic times.
