Breakfast was a little scarce, rooms a little too small for us. Liked the location to restaurants. Friendly service.

Princeton itself is a nice place. Not much there quaint small town. People there don't seem too friendly. Not much to do there. Not a tourist area. Good for relaxing and just enjoying the scenery. Dolly's is a little 50s type Diner with great diner food. That was my favorite restaurant to eat at. Definitely do not stay at the Days Inn hotel. You would be better off sleeping in your car.

There was no breakfast as advertised, I always choose hotels with breakfast so I don’t have to lose more time going to restaurants. The facility is a hell hole, no glasses in the room, no ice bucket, two towels for three adults. The grounds outside are dirty and have dangerous walking areas. I had to make multiple trips to the front desk to retrieve our needs. A bag breakfast that I have to go pick up myself with Dollar Tree food in it. And please don’t say it is Covid, the desk clerk told me if I wanted glasses to take them off the public area coffee stand, like that is sanitary? I was embarrassed that I advised my daughters family to stay here on our travels back home from NC. She had young children and had to experience this. If you want to act like a budget motel then charge budget prices! Then I would know to avoid Days Inn.

There were not enough pillows and they were small.
There were not enough pillows and they were small. The local tv channels were not working in our room. The front desk worker said that was true in all rooms. The next morning the front desk worker said that was not true we could have been moved to another room where the channels worked.

Th he small mom and pop shops and diners were amazing.
Th he small mom and pop shops and diners were amazing. And the haunted attraction of Lake Shawnee was great to visit as well. Not really busy and just a great area to get away from everyday life and just unwind.

We used booking.com to make reservation.
We used booking.com to make reservation. I was told by the girl at the desk that I could change room since the room was handicap room (the last one) and there were other rooms available. She cancelled the reservation and changed room and I was charged $79 from booking.com for canceling. Also charged for the room. I could not get reimbursed from hotel and was unable to reach booking.com which is based in the Netherlands. Will not use booking.com or this hotel again.

I went to Princeton for a church family camp.
I went to Princeton for a church family camp. Our camp was great. It was interesting to find out about a place referred to as “stumpy bottoms”. I really didn’t get to explore so I can’t honestly say much more than that. Maybe next time I’ll find the real treasure of this community!
The entire property was clean and appeared well maintained. The room was spacious for two and the small amenities like a microwave and mini-fridge really did bring a higher value to our stay. The hotel staff was pleasant and very helpful.
Drive south from Charleston WV was simple. Easy to find, close to interstate and drive to Princeton for dinner or groceries. Peaceful place, filled with history, homey and comfy. Great back porch sittin!
