Adequate. Would have liked more than 1 fruit choice. A sweet bread choice would have been nice. Very good coffee.

I wasn't there for Opelika but I lived there briefly in early '80s. It has grown a lot and seems to be handling it well. There is some interesting stuff in and around Opelika. The Sally Fields movie "Norma Rae" was filmed there and I was a little surprised to find The Golden Cherry Motel which was featured in the movie was still there and open for business. The cotton mill that was the scene of most of the action has long since closed as the textile industry was the first to be sold out and sent overseas.

The picture with the cotton and the words used next to this...
The picture with the cotton and the words used next to this caption is offensive to black people considering the South is notorious for slaves which was my great great grandmother and grandfather who worked in the cotton fields “picking” cotton😡😡🤔. Really????

Not particularly clean.
Not particularly clean. Severe rusting in corners of bathroom shower door.
Scent in lobby is unacceptable! In this day and age the hotel should recognize that this can be a trigger for those with respiratory issues.

Opelika is a great city with friendly people.
Opelika is a great city with friendly people. Country, suburban, and city options for real estate. Dining is diverse. Traffic is excellent, in comparison to other cities. Opelika is a place you would love to call home.

The greater Opelika/Auburn area is is very nice.
The greater Opelika/Auburn area is is very nice. Everything one could want, include a beautiful state park is only 15 minutes away from most places. The businesses and residential areas are spread out nicely with many hills and forests all around. It could be used as a model for other areas. One significant thing that it lacks is a great public transportation system. Like most cities in the USA, without a car you would be crippled here. Only after this area has an excellent public transportation system, like you find all over europe and latin america, will it qualify as a great model for other cities.

I really like this hotel from.the staff to the building...
I really like this hotel from.the staff to the building itself. Its clean and not.far from.resturants and shopping. And they are friendly for.people who.have dogs. But I did not like the breakfast at all. But you have other options not to far from the property. And, I dont like the coffee. But, that's because I can"t have dairy and the creamers are dairy. And the coffee is alittle weak for my taste. And the coffee machines in the room doesn't give me an option to bring my own coffee. So it's not much to complain about . Because i just go to Starbucks down the street. But if in the future you would like to adjust anything I would so go back to the drawing board on the breakfast.😆 I would recommend having a non dairy creamer option.😊hazelnut lol . And giving the coffee machines in the rooms the options to make their own coffee. So coffee makers with filters not the pre packaged coffee filters. Thank you!! But overall that's nothing I dont stay at any other hotel.but this one. I have no other complaints . I wound still.pick.this hotel
This is the experience you dream of when you decide to stay at a B&B. Dani and Leif are genuinely happy to see you there, and they have taken care of the smallest details - even ones you didn’t expect. Beautiful, spotless rooms with fantastic decor. Wonderful breakfast, and they will accommodate any dietary needs. We used to insist on staying at the Auburn Hotel when in town, but this is our new go-to!
This was my second time staying at the BW. After my first time trying it in Greenville, SC, I was impressed and decided to book this time in Alabama. It was like day and night. I have taken pictures and plan to contact BW to file a complaint. This place needs a lot of work, however we couldn't leave because it was one of the closest hotels to our family reunion activities. The owners should be ashamed.
Nice clean hotel, great location, staff is always nice. Breakfast is okay to start the day. Coffee is available throughout the day. Close to highway, lots of shopping and eateries. Can walk across to a grill for food instead of driving if want. Love the location. Have stayed here about 3 different times when coming to Auburn.
I liked the nice comfy beds and pillows and that the room was a nice temperature when we went it, also that the hotel was easy to get to and close to lots of other things like restaurants and shopping.
We were late booking a room for a ceremony at Auburn that our son was a part of. No rooms were available except for this hotel or extremely expensive hotels. So, we were thankful for a room.
A bit dated hotel next to highway in Opelika. The check in was relatively smooth, the rooms clean but very much dated. The beds were comfy - a good budget choice when driving through USA.
The breakfast was very good and the area was very clean. Pretty neat how there was a small bar in the hotel even though we did not use it! The staff was very helpful!
